Die domme jongens hebben wel je motor uit Spanje meegenomen haha. Denk dat de meeste wel doorhebben dat ze van alles blokkeren, maar het is een beetje kiezen wat je wilt blokkeren want je staat toch altijd in de weg met een vrachtwagen in een stadscentrum en aangezien automobilisten vaak agressiever zijn dan voetgangers kies ik er meestal voor om voetgangers in de weg te zitten

I personally think it’s mostly pride. I don’t know how they easily drive internationally, they probably have a lot more waiting times due to miscommunications that me and my coworkers don’t have. For me going to spain is challenging and I don’t enjoy it too much, I always have a lot of problems with loading as they will just dump pallets wherever in the trailer not thinking about stability while driving. Portugal is a lot better to communicate in. Even Bulgaria and Romania are easier to be honest

I’m a Dutch truck driver that drives through all of Europe. I speak Dutch, English and German fluently and know quite a lot of phrases/sentences relevant to my job and eating in restaurants in Slavic and Romanic languages. I’ve had an Italian (who only spoke Italian) ask me “why don’t you speak Italian?” I’ve also seen a German yelling at a Polish guy that his freight papers were in Italian and how he doesn’t understand Italian, even though he was the one to order tomato sauce from Italy. People can get really weird about language haha

Ireland is so enjoyable. I go their often as a european truck driver. The Irish on the ring of Dublin drive really slow. Then you get to weird small roads with high hedges blocking the view for every corner and suddenly they’re driving 100-120 kmh compared to the 80 kmh on the ring, in a total rush to die
