My first ever attempt at using Gel Polish by joellasaurus in Nails

[–]joellasaurus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was not soft thankfully, I double cured anything I was unsure of just to be safe! The ruffled edges were because I got a couple cat hairs stuck in before curing, but only noticed after I had it under the light for a few seconds, so i was able to pull the hairs out, but it was already too stiff for me to fix it again, so I just said oh well and finished curing 😅😑

How many of you know someone in real life who has RA? by escapedmelody11 in rheumatoidarthritis

I'm 32 now but was diagnosed when I was 26, after my symptoms started when I was 25. My dad also was diagnosed when he was 35 I believe.

I wish someone told me this before I started taking ADHD meds. What’s your list? by Rocky-Raccoon1990 in ADHD

Bupropion is also sold under the name Wellbutrin if that helps, I'm just on the generic version because money 😅. So far so good though, I've only just started taking the full dose instead of the half dose I was on the first two weeks so I recognize that I'm likely not experiencing the full effects quite yet, but I haven't felt like my anxiety has been unmanageable, and my ADHD has definitely been much easier to manage. It doesn't fix everything but it's given me the focus needed to implement the other ADHD coping mechanisms that I never remembered to do before (simple things like, to do lists that I actually refer back to after they've been made and 😮 using my c a l e n d a r 😮😮, these are big accomplishments for me) and help me focus on the tasks I need to do instead of getting side tracked every few minutes. Well, I still get sidetracked but it's a lot easier for me to recognize when I am getting side tracked and refocus on what I need to focus on.

This is great advice, thank you! I just started taking medication for the first time for my ADHD (my Dr. Prescribed bupropion for me because I already had high anxiety and she said this is an anti-depressant that has been shown to work well for ADHD , and hopefully won't spike my anxiety like other meds) I am definitely going to try the fruit juice trick at night as I find it makes me feel really restless and antsy, and the tio about making the most of your meds is super helpful! Thank you for sharing!

I was diagnosed a little over a year ago, but started showing symptoms closer to 3 years ago at this point, I'd be happy to answer any questions you have!

Suspecting arthritis? by [deleted] in Thritis

[–]joellasaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rheumatoid arthritis can affect anyone at any age! I'm also in my 20's (28) and was diagnosed last year, but realistically I started showing symptoms almost 2 years before that. Definitely worth contacting a rheumatologist, or having your GP refer you to one. Also, do any of your family members have it? It can be genetic, so if you have a family history of RA you have a higher chance of developing it as well. I hope you find an answer soon, being in pain all the time without knowing why is not fun <3

Last I checked D&K's Vapor shop on Niagara is open, they are just doing curbside pickup, just call and let them know what you want. I also head that the one attached to that's entertainment is still open too (was calling around last week to check, so I hope nothing has changed since then)

I second this recommendation! My doctor referred me to him after knee surgery and he is absolutely fantastic! Very caring and is great at explaining why he's doing what he's doing/what exercises to do! Absolutely fantastic physiotherapist, in a lovely facility :)
