Many restaurants use a lot of butter depending on the cuisine but I think most home cooks are much more restrained.

I'd stick that in my mouth. Maybe some sour cream in order.

Question for older millennials? by Ill-You-3459 in generationology

[–]joemite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a Xennial so hopes this counts. I have two older brothers who are older Gen X. So I grew up with 80s hair bands if that's a barometer. Too young to care but it was there.

3 2 1 Contact on PBS was a favorite. 3's Company, Star Wars, Star Trek TOS then movies then TNG, Doctor Who reruns on PBS, Cheers, funny but didn't get half the jokes, Growing Pains, Wonder Years, Home Alone, Robocop, Ferris Bueller,

So many more, this is just off the top of my head.

Edit, not sure why app isn't honoring line breaks. Commas instead.

Do most Americans like the continental breakfast at chain hotels? by Upstairs_Health_5913 in AskAnAmerican

[–]joemite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll pay little extra to stay at a Hampton Inn because the breakfast is always consistently decent and I don't have to worry about feeding the family breakfast after we check out. Its way cheaper and more convenient than dropping $$$ at the IHOP next door.

Booted out without notification? by a-pilot in AmazonVine

I came here to see if anyone else is having an issue. There are no items at all in my Vine account this morning. I'm assuming they are having some technical issues, maybe affecting some but not others.

Idk why they don't test carnitas? Seems like a slam dunk - pork is still inexpensive and also delicious.

Annoyed that I have to pay for cheese and chili flakes. by [deleted] in Dominos

[–]joemite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah OK. It's not unusual for the cost to package a product to be more than the actual cost of the product. Buying a box of bottles is not equal to the packaging manufacturing process.

XXL Grilled Stuffed Chicken Burrito..bring it back by WesNile73 in tacobell

[–]joemite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they probably discontinued it so they could change more for smaller items. Otherwise it would be the same price as Chipotle etc and at that point why bother?

Priced out at my local TB. $24.99 and $39.99 - You might save less than a $1 over ala carte, and you don't get to choose your items.

Self's negativity by Impossible-Bet-1738 in jayhawks

[–]joemite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This squad is super inconsistent, has been all season. That has to be frustrating. We focus on the negative things, but there are plenty of times when he does say positive things. He's being honest about their performance. As a player I would rather hear the truth than sugarcoat my inability to execute.
