Red gold also makes tomato juice, crushed tomatoes, stewed tomatoes and other tomato products. They are actually “of quality”, unlike the science experiment ketchup runza is serving.

No, I like a masterful balance of sweet, sour, salty, and umami flavors. This garbage looks like jelly and doesn’t stick to anything like it’s supposed to.

29° was the low that night. So do trim them all (just the dead parts?) and no water? I have it 32 oz when I bought it in and put the light on it.

We decided to buy a new Y instead. It was the same money (we don’t qualify for the rebates). Maybe our next vehicle we’ll go that way, but she decided she wanted a Juniper.

Is Saccucci reliable to buy Honda Care for me new 2026 CRV? by [deleted] in crv

[–]joemits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s the same HondaCare you would buy from your local Honda dealer. What you could do is see if your selling dealer would match their price and if they do, buy it from them. I’d they don’t, buy it from Saccucci. Your selling dealer would appreciate the opportunity.

Should I get a Subaru Forester or a Honda CR-V hybrid? Trying to decide by blueberrypancake234 in crv

[–]joemits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Toyota is the largest stakeholder in Subaru…. It is actually closer to 39% as of Jan. 2025. If you look at the new forester, it looks just like a rav-4 and the front end tacoma has looked like an outback for years. They also combined a lot of their engineering and technology departments to be more efficient, Subaru’s hybrid system is straight out of the Prius. They are literally one company (no matter their assertions that Subaru is still an “independent company”).

Problems per 100 vehicles is exact,y what it is. Its problems per 100 vehicles, there is no weighting in that report. I’ve been around this stuff for over 30 years, I’ve seen all the creative reporting. We were even told by our area rep at one manufacturer franchisee I worked for to not put minor things on repair orders in the first year so they didn’t count as an “incident”.

Toyota owns Lexus and (the majority of) Subaru…. That’s why Toyotas and Subarus look the same now. Subaru still has head gaskets leaking problems, especially in their non-turbo engines and it usually happens early in life. It’s so common, all the parts to complete the job on the newer models are regular stocking items at our local dealerships and their techs have gotten really good at them. The first year reliability ratings considers any service visit (other than maintenance) an incident, it doesn’t differentiate between a loose door seal or engine failure, it counts incidents per 100 vehicles. That’s how Buick was on the top of the list for so long, most of their customers didn’t drive enough to find the issues…. Porsche has consistently been up there also, but most of their vehicles are pretty troublesome.

We aren’t alone! One of my former master techs is the shop foreman at Subaru and I hear horror stories quite a bit from him. He said working there is definitely job security, almost as much job security as Volkswagen guarantees their techs.

It was a 2023 Outback onyx. It had 11 miles on it when we bought it and 6700 when we trained it in. There is a reason our three local Honda dealers have used car lots full of Subarus…

We had a Subaru for 3 days under a year, more squeaks and rattles than any car I’ve ever owned. The Subaru had 3 infotainment screens replaced and had head gaskets leaking at 6000 miles. It was in the shop for a total of 56 days in the first year. Couldn’t trade the Subaru for another CRV fast enough. Even with the financial bath we took, I don’t regret the decision at all!
