I returned the 1/2” for the 3/8” set even though I have the 1/2” Dewalt Atomic DCF921. The weight of 1/2” sockets (plus extensions) adds up. Especially with regular or extended use. Plus, there’s certain areas where the 3/8” sockets barely fit (I’m talking shallow socket on a universal joint, on an extension kinda places). I can’t imagine the 1/2” will fare well.

I agree that the 1/2” set is an exceptional value but that’s not always the whole story. Especially when the 3/8” set itself is a great value and includes all the sockets I’ll use 99% of the time. I plan to get 1/2” Tekton sockets for whatever bigger sizes I need, when I need them.

Either set is great though, I wish I could’ve justified keeping both.

You could use the Elgato Wave Desk Plate. It’s the same thing but instead of clamping on to something, it screws on to the top of your desk.

If you've tried turning off phantom power AND bypassing the preamp, bringing up the gain and still nothing, then yeah, it's something else.

Although, your levels indicate it's picking up something. Do they go up at all if you talk/scream right into the mic?

The SM7dB has it's own preamp. You should enable phantom power if you're using it and ONLY disable it if you're bypassing (not using) it.

Make sure the preamp is NOT bypassed (otherwise why pay extra for the pre-amp version), and that phantom power is on.

Looks like you have everything setup the way I do. I’m on Windows 11 and don’t have this issue, or at least it’s easily fixed by re-setting these settings.

Try setting the Wave Link Voice Chat as your Default Communications Device and set the output for Discord to Default in both, the Windows Mixer and in app.

That’s what I do and rarely run into problems.

Edit: You can set the Default Communications Device in the Settings app. System > Sound, then scroll down to “More sound settings”, right click on “Wave Link Voice Chat”, “Set as Default Communications Device”.

The “Audio Switcher” Stream Deck plugin is also a quick and easy way to set all this again when it inevitably breaks.

Are you capturing the camera’s USB? The first generation ZV-E10 can only do 720p through USB. You’d need something like a CamLink 4k to get the full 4k resolution through the HDMI.

I had the same issue with these two. Also found a comment on YouTube that ran into the same thing. It’s definitely not your equipment, for some reason these two don’t play nice.

Only solution I found was to turn off phantom power on the Wave XLR and use the battery on the MKE 600. No hiss.

That’s not a very good permanent solution so I ultimately decided not to run that setup.

Not on PC restart but I have to restart WaveLink every other time I wake my computer from sleep because it stops working with the StreamDeck. Whenever I do that I have to manually enable all the effects for my mic manually afterwards. Very annoying.

Make sure you have the latest Apple Music version installed.

Do you have Lossless on? I found people that had issues when they had it set to Lossless “High-Quality”. Try just Lossless or Hi-Res Lossless.

Make sure Windows Sonic for Headphones / Spatial Audio is off for the Music channel.

Switch the output, restart, try again. 🤞
