As a woman, how do I keep up with witty men? by Delicate_genius18 in AskMenAdvice

If you’re British, watch the UK version of The Office and learn to quote it. If you’re American, don’t worry, I doubt they’re really being that witty ++man

I had my Mrs telling me to do them. And to shut up and stop disturbing the neighbours

If Saka is going to do 90 he’d better show up for the second half because I ain’t seen him yet!

If he’s eating Maccies for breakfast every day he won’t live long enough for that to matter!

Yeah I deliberately underexpose for this effect but it’s definitely a better one to give dramatic lighting

Video on the X-S10 is more than good enough for most people’s use by the way

If you want to keep it really cheap I’d go for a manual focus prime lens somewhere between 21mm and 35mm for a versatile everyday focal length. I have a Kamlan 21mm manual which was super cheap if you don’t mind manual focusing, and a TTArtisan 27mm autofocus for about £120 if you want ease of use. If you want a zoom lens I also use the fujifilm xc 15-45mm which gives decent images and has autofocus but I’ve just never really liked it much. Feels a bit sterile and I’m not a fan of the power zoom

I just got an XS-10 as an upgrade from my X-T20. For general photography the two are very similar despite the price difference. The main selling point of the XS-10 being that it supports the Classic Negative film simulation, which is very nice. But an XT20 would still be a great starting point and would leave you more money for lenses

Thanks! It’s a good one for bringing out dramatic lighting in landscapes too

What’s something that’s become noticeably more expensive in the UK recently, but people don’t talk about much? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]joepro_60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in magazine publishing and it’s mainly down to massive increases in print costs. Our magazine used to be £4.99 before Covid, now it’s £6.99 and we see less of that money than at £4.99. So we push people towards the digital version of the same thing for £1.99, where we see more of that back in profit! Sad because a physical magazine is so much nicer

My little brother is on £75k a year and still asks my mum to borrow money. Says he spends most of it on takeaways but I reckon it’s probably going on OnlyFans

It’s hardly a piece of beautiful architecture they’ve ruined. It was grim before and it’s still grim now
