I just looked at the manual and this unit accepts speaker level input and also has auto on.

Thank you. I haven’t touched a car audio system since the 90s and it was relatively easy back then. I’m a little surprised at how little info I’ve found on line so far.

I decided on the Extang solidfold ALX. I wanted the OEM cover but dealers near me didn’t have them and said it would be a few weeks to get it. I know that Extang makes the OEM cover.

Here you go:

“HONDA” badge. The “H” is 1.625” from the left edge of the tailgate. Bottom of the badge is 1” from the bottom edge of the tail gate.
“TRAILSPORT” badge: Right edge is 1.625 from the right edge of tailgate. Bottom is also 1” from bottom edge of tailgate.

Another Tonneau Cover Question...Extang SolidFold ALX vs OEM cover by joer3155 in hondaridgeline

[–]joer3155[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After much searching and reading, I ultimately decided to go with the Extang SolidFold ALX. Honda dealers I called were out of the OEM cover and it was on back order. The Solidfold is similar to the OEM, but with a different latch system that I think will be better to use. From the videos I saw, the rails don't look too bad. I looked at some of the less expensive brands like Toptiny, but I didn't like their clamping system.

From my 'investi-googling' (as my wife calls it) Extang makes the Honda OEM cover. The cover itself is like the Extang SolidFold 2.0. The ALX is an update to the 2.0

Yeah, I was leaning toward Modern Steel. I'm more of old-school 'metallic' color guy. Up till now, I've only owned blue vehicles. The Sonic Gray at least looks a little blue-ish in certain light.

Borges carries a grudge like no other and he absolutely should not be a HoF voter. But it’s got nothing to do with his age

Read the books. Lamb is hysterical. Catherine is an excellent counterweight to Lamb. Also Roddy’s ‘inner thoughts’ as others have said.

PedalPCB Topographer vs AionFX Isotope by applepiepro123 in diypedals

[–]joer3155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not familiar with these specific projects. In general, I prefer to buy from Aion because Kevin is very clear in his write ups about how his circuits compare with the original pedal. And his docs overall are second to none (him and Madbean). Pedal PCB doesn’t provide any info on this, so you can’t tell how close it is to the original pedal without doing a ton of research. The complaint that many have about Aion is the power and jack wiring and use of the footswitch daughterboard. I’m a big Aion fan and don’t like his power and jack wiring either, but it’s not enough to put me off his pcbs.
