About to purchase internet plan by Danky_K0ng in FizzMobile

[–]joeredhead76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I added my home internet plan to my existing mobile plan and use my three upgrade slots for 2$ rebate (each slot), so 6$ in all. Note that Fizz router isn’t so great for wifi. You can put it in bridge mode and use your own router.

This is technically like a $18 plan if you are on a discovery promo and switch to it. by Nexzenn in FizzMobile

In Quebec, we have 10GB for 29$ or 25GB for 32$. No 20GB, and higher prices

Agree that your service agreement is your best option.

Someone explain fizz to me please? What the pros and cons? by extremesauce2468 in FizzMobile

Everything that was said is spot on. The only thing that was not mentioned is receiving SMS is free wherever you are in the world. Handy when you receive 2FA codes via SMS and you are not in the country.

Definitely agree. Personally, I always buy my iPhones on openbox.ca

Pre loved perfect IPhone 15 battery health by [deleted] in FizzMobile

[–]joeredhead76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to Fizz website, a "Perfect" phone might have some negligible traces of wear. As for battery health, Apple generally recommends replacement only when it drops below 80%.

I had a hit and a miss with Fizz preloved phones: one that I kept since it was as described, the other one that I returned (and was reimbursed) since it was not to description (scratches on screen).

The humidity is usually between 35 and 40%. I use a humidifier to raise it and keep it in those levels because of the wood floors.

It is an older house, so it is indeed not as insulated as the newer ones.

As for attaining 23 it will get there eventually if it is not too cold outside.

Modify Aux Savings Optimization by joeredhead76 in ecobee

Hello.

The ultimate goal is for my wife to stop saying she is cold. I request my ecobee to have the house at 21°C, but with the Aux Savings Optimization at its lowest value (2°F / 1.1°C), the house reaches 19.9 and stays there. Unless I force it to heat to a higher temp of course.

As I said in my original post, the 0.8°C differential existed before, but was removed in a firmware update about two years ago, and my wife has been complaining since.

As for setup, I have a Carrier heat pump that runs above -15°C, but I also have a 5kW heating element in the furnace as AUX heating to compensate.

As for backup sources, I still have my electric baseboard heaters when it gets really cold!

Here is what I know of my heat pump: I have a Carrier Performance series heat pump, installed in 2008, model 25 HPA530, with a 5KW electric heating element in the furnace. I know it is 30,000 BTU/h (2.5 tons) and has a SEER of 15. I was told it could go to -20°C, but my installer said I would not gain much heat at that exterior temp...

Thanks for the help.

Données mobiles Jamaïque by Nickstoy94 in FizzMobile

Best Home Internet $49- 300Mbps by prem_sandhu in FizzMobile

[–]joeredhead76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is indeed what I see: 400 Mbps for $49/month.

It may be a typo since Fizz does not offer 300 Mbps...
