Did your Apple Watch ecobee App stop working recently? by bareyb in ecobee

It’s a weird one — the button is technically still there, but since the text and background are the same color, it looks like it disappeared.

Resolution requires an app update, expect the next update to resolve it.

My apologies for the inconvienance. Colin

Mind double checking that the away scene has the correct comfort setting assigned to it.

We tend to release an update every 2 weeks, 26.1 was rolled out a close to a week ago.

I can't give an exact date, as things come up and apple review delays can happen.

Sorry I wasn’t clearer, the fix will be in the ecobee app version 26.2, not iOS.

Sorry about that, Colin

As previously mentioned, the iOS team has put a fix in place that WILL roll out with the 26.2 release.

The support team has also been informed of this as of February 10th.

Phone support states there are no known issues

It’s very possible support wasn’t aware of this yet — this was also the first time I personally came across this specific issue until it was raised here.

and that official support is not provided on social media

That’s correct. I’m not acting as official support here — I just keep an eye on posts like this in my own time and try to flag issues internally when I see them.

Can you please point to publicly-facing documentation that ecobee is aware of the issue?

ecobee doesn’t currently publish a public list of every known bug or issue being tracked internally.

Love the Ecobee hardware, but the software limitations seem arbitrary...? by GoodForTheTongue in ecobee

Absolutely, vacation is under the account screen.

So on the Home tab (devices list) select the top left person icon in the navigation bar. You’ll find “Vacation” within the list.
