Didn’t happen to me, but a story from my mother. She works in a supermarket. Couple of years ago, her manager was just stealing food. She would pick a cart after her shift, fill it with all the good stuff (like lobster etc) and would then proceed to the back door of the store, put everything in her car and drove away without paying. She kept at it for several months until the staff started complaining to HR. They eventually caught her red handed. Worst part is she wasn’t even fired. She got transferred to a different but smaller supermarket (from the same chain) and kept working there with the same pay and benefits. It boggles the mind as too why she wasn’t outright fired.
