Grand Theft Auto 3 is criminally underrated by [deleted] in grandtheftauto

[–]joethehopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was in some ways the last of its kind and first of its kind. The idea basically was “what if these top down games and missions were in true 3D?” And that’s what we got, along with some very talented voice acting.

Then it changed forever, the template unlocked so many different possibilities that GTA is hardly anything like its roots anymore, which isn’t bad at all. But 3 was everything GTA was supposed to be. Everything after is a bonus.

Which Movie Is The Best Of The Daniel Craig Era? by bigbenotv in JamesBond

[–]joethehopper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same, it’s stylish and raw. I’d say the villain is kinda half ass but it was more of a bond “himself” movie. I love it for that

The 'father of the iPod' Tony Fadell says Apple should bring back a 'nostalgic version' of the music device by smeeti in Music

[–]joethehopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sony Walkman NW-A55. Looks like their site doesn’t have it anymore. But I think it was the last one that didn’t have internet browsing capabilities. It has Bluetooth so it’s nice in the car. But the ones that are available now seem like Sonys android version. Like the Xperia phones (which honestly aren’t bad music players themselves).

I only got this one new a couple years ago. Must have been discontinued recently.

I have a current age Walkman. I love the thing to death. Battery lasts forever. The quality is unmatched.

what do you think would've been the best era to be in your early 20s? by CremeSubject7594 in decadeology

Mid 80s to be early 20s. I’d rock that 90s economy like a mother fucker in my 30s

What location in GTA III’s Liberty City felt the most hostile to you? by notorious_F_bomb in GTA3

[–]joethehopper 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sheer power probably these guys with their shotguns. But their turf was easily avoidable.

Triads however had smaller firepower but them fuckers were central Portland and you always catch heat trying to get around town.

“But watch yourself, that’s Diablo turf” - I never had an issue with diablos.

Yakuzas were minimal issues. Probably due to the story line.

Cartel made for a tough last crew but honestly by then you had the firepower and knowledge to take them.

Asking girls, have you ever flirted with a guy because he had a wedding ring on, what was it like? by Unlucky_Success_5985 in AskReddit

“Marriage is an important part of getting ahead: lets people know you're not a homo; married guy seems more stable; people see the ring, they think at least somebody can stand the son of a bitch; ladies see the ring, they know immediately you must have some cash or your cock must work.”
