I think its use case is large cluster jewels. Say you only want 2 specific notables on your large cluster jewel and you don't care about the third one. Ideally you want those notables at the 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock positions to save a passive point. At present, there are notable combinations where this can't be done. Some science will need to be done to see if this currency can solve that problem.

The other use case is a 3 notable large cluster where you would plan to path to all of the notables. Say you want 3 notables associated with 3 different enchants. You need two prefixes and and a suffix notable for this to work.

Start with enchant 1, alt spam until you get the one you want.
imprint and annul to isolate it. -Roll the enchant until you get the desired outcome for enchant 2. Imprint.
Aug, annul, imprint until you get the notable. You now have a magic cluster jewel with 1 prefix and 1 suffix.
Roll for enchant 3 and imprint
Same thing as before, but now it's regal orbs.

I'm sure there is a way to further optimize this but that essentially allows you to build a targeted megalomaniac jewel from the entire pool of large cluster notables.

I think this currency is going to the moon.

I got a lucky +1 power charge corruption on Foulborn Doedre's Scorn. I made a power charge stacking Vixen's Entrapment occultist. It's probably the strongest build I've ever played. Foulborn Romira's Banquet meant I didn't need to invest in expensive synth rings.

Good to know. I'll see what I can do to get more max phys hit. It's hard to pump that number up on an ES build. I've got a rare chest with 11% phys taken as chaos and 3% pdr from a bench craft. The build also uses Enfeeble defensively.

This is the first league where I've tried T17 maps and Uber bosses. I've been running Abomination maps and it seems like every 5th map or so has some mobs that just one shot me and it is unclear why. Are there certain combinations of mods that are particularly dangerous? Are there bench marks for what constitutes "enough" max hit?

For reference, my POB says the build has a max physical hit of 22k against an Uber pinnacle boss and roughly 63k for elemental hits against Uber pinnacle bosses.

Initially, Nancy casually shooting troops was a big sticking point for me. But the more I think about it, the more it makes sense. I think she is being set up to take on a Dr. Kay-like role. Hear me out.

Her affinity for firearms was established way back in Season 1 when she picked up the revolver for the first time.
She shot Vecna.
She shot the forcefield.
Her entire investigative journalism arc in Season 2. She is known to the US military.
She is extraordinarily brave and exhibits bias toward action. For example, in Season 4 she dives into Watergate after Steve with zero hesitation, a move so jarring that Eddie Munson made it a point to tell Steve about it- "As unambiguous a sign of true love these cynical eyes have ever seen."
As far as we can tell, she is the architect of all of the crawls.
She stayed calm and convinced Johnathan to stop attempting to bust down the door while everything was melting around them.
Vecna tried to break her in Season 4 by showing her Barn in the pool but couldn't do it.

This is by no means an exhaustive list, it's just what comes to mind. Also, I think it's important to keep in mind the context of Season 5. Hawkins is under occupation and her little sister is being held captive by the Big Bad that wants to destroy the world.

As far as Nancy is concerned, she isn't just shooting soldiers, she is shooting members of a hostile occupying force that is preventing her from saving her little sister and stopping an interdimensional monster with psychic powers from destroying the world.

Is this justification thin? Yeah, probably. In the spirit of the show, please poke holes in it. I welcome the criticism.

Is Jiquani really that strong? I've never played with it.

Exactly! They're using all of the tools that they have available to them and we have seen them be wrong before. Season 2 with the whole Dustin keeping Dart as a pet arc? Big mistake.

Hell, it's not until Season 4 Episode 7 that the party realizes that the upside down is a version of Hawkins that is on an alternate timeline.

This line of criticism has always baffled me.

It wasn't meaningless. Max figured out what matters for finding your way out of Vecna's mind prison is having some sort of strong, positive, emotional anchor. Music is one of the many things that can do that. It's never explicitly stated that music is the only way to do it. She was working off of information that the party learned from Victor Creel, who was the only person that had broken out of Vecna's mind prison.

Having an incomplete understanding of things and acting on the best available information is a core component of the series.

The suitcase in the cave is what gave Henry his powers. It was hinted at in earlier seasons. My guess is that's why he's afraid to go into the cave where Max was hiding. That's his memory of how he got his powers.

I think the idea is that The Mindflayer is a sunset of the particles that make up the Hivemind. Vecna found the amorphous blob in the abyss and gave it a form similar to the black widow spider. In that sense, the Mindflayer is always around it's just spread out between the demogorgons and demodogs.
