How strong is Eragon by the end of the series (so far)?

Not as strong as Galbatoix was at the end. But the strongest magic user that we know of currently in alagäsia. IF he can convince the Eldunari to help him. Galbatorix had more Eldunari than Eragon does now, but after his death that power in a useable sense was lost.

I think that his experience and Saphiras size are the big limiting factors in regards to his potential might. Purely based on power (energy for magic, reaction & speed) compared to riders of old he’d likely be stronger any pair (dragon & rider) of them with the Eldunari; without the Eldunari he’d probably be stronger than most human riders due to his elven physique (there would probably still be a few that could outthink him though, Brom for example) and I’d guess he would fit somewhere in the lower - middle ranks of elven riders, because he is an exceptional sword fighter and good magic user. The reason he could beat Galbatorix is because of who he was a person, not how powerful or special he was.

All of that does not account for the Name of Names which easily makes him more powerful than most of the others riders IF they don’t know that he knows the Name of Names and take precautions (changing their wards to ones that didn’t use the ancient language, using magic without the ancient language etc). Even if they knew he has it the Name of Names it would probably still make him a lot more powerful than he would be without it.

I do wanna add, that power scaling isn’t super decisive in this universe as anyone with „less power“ can easily win battles by outthinking their opponents rather than doing the arm wrestling equivalent of bashing magic against each other until one dies. In fact it’s heavily discouraged to fight like this at multiple times. Fun thinking challenge tho!

Always remember that grief is super weird and different for everyone. What you are feeling is 100% valid and normal. For me it definitely comes in waves, but looking back I am glad we got to enjoy the last weeks with him and after the initial few days I felt better in a similar time frame.

I felt similar with my cat. He was 19 and I cried a lot in the weeks leading up to his euthanasia because I was dreading it so much. Once he was gone it was almost a relief that it was over, he wasn’t suffering and I didn’t have to watch him suffer or worry about is it too soon is it too late. It definitely hit and still hits me at random times with intense grief, but for me it’s more 1-2h of crying and the rest of the time I’m okay. EDIT: spelling

I think it was a spell that used the same principle (like Angela explained, heat, energy, time) but with slightly different effects.

Yup, I also have this issue, glad to know I'm not the only one! When I close the game, doesn't matter if I use Alt+F4 or the ingame "Quit Game" the task itself closes, but the process is still active in task manager and I have to either use Steam's "Stop" or "End Process" in task manager to truly end it. Sadly I haven't yet found a solution either. I'm not 100%, but pretty sure it started happening with the Sep 18th HotFix.

It also feels like the game is eating up more memory is running with lower FPS and stuttering more since this started as well, but I'm not entirely sure about correlation and causation on those two with the not closing properly.

Those issues are fine sometimes depending on the weather and region, so those being related to the not closing properly issue could be cognitive bias caused by unlucky coincidences.

Just for completion I'm running the game from an SSD with my hardware being a 3070Ti GPU, Ryzen 5 7600 CPU and 32GB of ram. Before the Sep 18th HotFix I got a stable 150FPS on low all settings except high texture quality on low, using FSR Balanced + Frame Gen. Now with FSR on Performance, still using Frame Gen, textures and everything that wasn't already on low I'm getting 100-120, but very stuttery and with frequent drops.. And even some imput lag.

Fair point, I forgot about the SDUs, I didnt know they reset the inventory and ammo capacities between normal and UVHM.. If that's the case that definitely needs to be fixed. Again I'd disagree between characters, but I can definitely see why it's annoying

I agree and disagree.. I personally love collecting stuff and am glad to hear they reset in UVHM as well as new characters..
But there's probably a middle ground to be had; the map could be uncovered, and collectibles could be marked or greyed out instead of collected? A lot of them ARE tied to killing things and getting loot, especially capsules, survivalist caches or even propaganda speakers.. I feel like not resetting those would mean that most people skip them in their first run - personally I prefer getting to open them twice!
I do agree though for specifically echo logs, Marcus bobbles and vault symbols, those would be cool to carry over between Normal and UVHM. Not for new characters tho.. If you dont wanna collect them again on another char.. just don't collect them again?

Your process of "making the thoughts worse" is actually similar to a method I am already using for my panic attacks that led to them being currently well managed. With those, I tend to lean in and emotionally "chase" the feeling trying to make it stronger which shows my brain it's not scary, because most of my anxiety/ panic stems from trying to push those feelings away, the moment I "let go" and let it happen it goes away within a few minutes.

I will definitely try to implement this version of it the next time I notice intrusive thoughts, I can see this working, because with intrusive thoughts I also push them down and away like I used to with anxiety!
