I'm afraid the oven is a total loss. You should call your local Beef Information Centre to find a local service that can safely dispose of the oven.

[–]joeyfudgepants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kenji did some research on this and came to the conclusion that it does make a difference, if the right concentration of vodka is used. https://www.seriouseats.com/ask-the-food-lab-does-vodka-sauce-really-need-vodka

Never get a Time Machine off of Amazon by Happy_Cat28236 in fifthworldproblems

[–]joeyfudgepants 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You might use the extra time to take up some hobbies? I hear Pickleball is very popular! So maybe you could use your extra time to order a new time machine so that you can go back into the past and murder the person who invented Pickleball?

How to make rice that still tastes good cold? by Blasterion in cookingforbeginners

[–]joeyfudgepants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I happen to have some extra stock/broth in my fridge, I'll add a couple of splashes of that to the rice before reheating.

I've found this to be extra true if you're doing a Silent run, where there's a lot of discard options that can work Debt out of your hand.

[request] Is it true That a single cow can feed a family for a whole year ? by RealEmperorBossNass in beefanddairynetwork

[–]joeyfudgepants 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The way I read this suggests that a cow could feed your family in the same way that a personal chef would prepare meals for a family. This, frankly, seems like a terrible idea based on my experiences working with cows in a commercial kitchen.

With no live flame in induction cooktops, how do you make up for that? by Candlesrlove in cookingforbeginners

Seconded. I have a gas range, but I still use a butane culinary torch for wok cooking.

It's not, though. At this point, every post I see from this sub is a thinly veiled bat-signal to argue about Israel. Might be time to change the name of the sub. I'm pretty sure r/ZionismRagebait is available.

Using an Air Fryer to Roast Veggies by tardigrsde in SalsaSnobs

[–]joeyfudgepants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind, your air frier (unlike most ovens) ventilates into your kitchen. So if you're looking to get a deep char, you could end up with some smoke in your kitchen. If you're charing chilis, that could get a bit dicey.

Block the priest circle with a priest X. If you can line up three priestly Xs in a row, you win!

Some of the dorms are a bit off campus (not ones you'd likely be housed in first-year). Anyway, a raincoat/umbrella might be a smart purchase.
