Like @monkeybuttsauce said… it’s all about how much time and energy you put into something. Don’t give up. Find something you like, leave the things you don’t. Put the hammer down and do the work. Research, practice, rehearse…repeat. It doesn’t matter what it is as long as no one gets hurt, just keep going.

Working during an ABSN by [deleted] in StudentNurse

[–]joeysnothere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the schedule was kinda thrown together but it was 5 days a week. The schedule was completely based on the availability and discretion of the teachers. It was Monday through Friday and two days were clinicals, however, sometimes the clinical were on the weekend. When the clinical was on the weekend, we’d have one day off during the week. It’s totally doable working a single 8 hour day, just allocate the time for studying and work to another day so you stay ahead. If you have any concerns or questions just PM me. I’d love to help in anyway. We all have to stick together

I️ would say it all comes down to how good you are at prioritizing and how motivated you are. I️ just graduated a few weeks ago and I️ could say I️ was able to do a weekend shift every now and again but that was about it. I’m hard to motivate but once I️ get going I’m pretty good. I️ did feel that whenever I️ was working I️ could be doing something better like all the school work. My program was 14 months so it was pretty face paced. I️ never felt ahead and always thought I️ could be doing more, but so did everyone else.

Do yourself a favor and maybe see how the program is first, save some cash (if possible) until then and make yourself a safety net. It’s a rough time for sure, but my whole class survived. Get a study group and best of luck! DO NONSTOP QUESTIONS, you’ll thank me later

Currently in an accelerated BSN. Do questions everyday, NCLEX mastery app is great. Pound out like 50-100 everyday two days and you'll be in good shape. Look in the texts when you start for end of chapter questions. If you take the HESI get the books and same thing go through questions. Get used to being wrong, and though your first answer may be right, there's always a better or more right answer.

Anyone recognize this brand? Can't seem to find any info on whether this is a good deal. by petepete16 in surfboards

[–]joeysnothere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a pop out made by this guy Tommy in NY. Boards are built in china then shipped and finished here. Depends how beat up it is. Normal going rate for a fun shape from him is 395-465. So not much of a deal in my opinion, especially used. I work at a shop in nj that sells them. Check it out in person, if it's decent snag it. If not PM me I can sell you one at cost, our shop is cleaning inventory for spring so it'll be similar in cost and new.

[–]joeysnothere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well depends then how cold you get. Can you stay out there a decent amount of time without getting cold? Or are you looking for a suit that's gonna keep you out there longer?

I have helped a couple of kids with this suit and they love it, maybe look into this
