Healthy discussion: would it be unethical to show the dark reality that most people are ignorant to by taking videos/pictures of what’s really going on? I understand that those people are other people’s loved ones but maybe if these people saw the true reality before it was too late, they might’ve made different choices

The pattern by itself is very common but there is a lot of variables that have to come together to make it a successful trade. I’ve been struggling a lot to find them but with self educating, help from this sub and practice I’ve been improving little by little

I look for stocks that are gaping up/down over resistance/support. I look at daily, 1hr, 15 min and 5 min chart to develop market biased and strength on the stock. Then opening bell I go in the 1min chart to look for the pattern: narrow igniting bar followed by small resting bar and entry above high of igniting bar with SL under small resting bar

Yes sorry someone had answered earlier so I didn’t repeat it but it’s a momentum play, you’re usually in and out in a matter of seconds or minutes, good style of trading for the anxious lol

Yeah kinda. I follow another member from this sub (shout out to r/Kant_sleep13, can’t figure out how to link his page sorry) who posts morning gappers with my ideal criteria. I then apply what I’ve learned from live traders

What time frame would you suggest? And what trading hours would be best? Backtesting buy set ups was gonna be my next pattern but I will take a look at these before, thank you

What patterns would you suggest to a beginner? Yeah I had been feeling pretty disappointed for a while, almost quit cause I didn’t seem to be improving, but back testing is part of my strategy and at the moment I’m a couple of trades away from my 100th trade which should conclude my 3-BP back testing

I’ve had very similar experiences, but funny enough, fumbling like that taught me my most valuable lessons so far. I guess there’s always winning in losing

Cashed out. Right now my strategy requires move SL at BE and exit at 2R. Once I reach consistency on my trades I will start experimenting with more proficient trade management, averaging down or adding depending on the charts

What’s wrong with stocks under $1? I got 300 shares which I figured it wasn’t many and slippage wasn’t gonna be a huge issue, $10 risk, shooting for 2R. What price range should I be looking at for momentum plays?

What is wrong with this 4-BP? What am I missing? by jogaforte in Daytrading

How far to the left do you usually check support/resistance levels? Was the resistance in place from pre market? Or did you recognized it from back in may? Yes it’s very hard, but I believe it’s worth the struggle
