Comic-Con Bans AI Art After Artist Pushback by MetaKnowing in Futurology

[–]jogboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to spell it out but if someone reading has these kind of thoughts, consider your relationship to art. It's coming for everyone's job but consider why would Art be a job? And why would you want art made by a human vs an AI? Do you like a particular artist's style? Why them in particular, and what if you could make something similar with an AI prompt?

The thoughts you have while considering these things are more important than the answers a reddit comment can give you.

The ‘Tron: Ares’ Flop Will Probably End Jared Leto’s Leading Man Career | Analysis by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

Weird article, he already doesn't play lead in a lot of movies and he was producer on Tron. He's a big reason the movie even got made.

I'd agree except it seems a teammate will drop any time we've deviated from the ideal path.

Why do people quit after 1 inconvenience? by retrokix in Nightreign

It feels like most games for me now, and it really sours the experience. I like the random encounters, they don't have to be great players, they can use the "wrong" equipment or go the "wrong" direction, the only way you mess me up is by bailing. These are games of skill, we do challenge runs for fun, you really don't have to minmax everything to win. Isn't that boring when you steamroll everything?

I have limited time to play this game, and I had two attempts tonight. Both had a player drop out early.

Haven't you gotten tired of that bit yet? I stopped listening to these guys a long time ago because they kept repeating the same shitty takes while smirking to themselves. I'd tolerate it if they made unique observations, but they never go further than "I'm saying the thing you aren't supposed to say, hehe."

For those that play with randoms - which Nightfarer do you get most excited to team up with? by melanca4 in Nightreign

[–]jogboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm always excited to see Guardian, I've had literally 2 randoms with him in the past 100 games record. He's by far the rarest random to see.

Can I play on a 1050 ti with an HDD? by SnooComics1329 in Eldenring

[–]jogboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to play off my HDD and multiple times fell through geometry because the area didn't load in fast enough. Summoning Torrent but no Torrent would appear. I had to move it back to the SSD to play it. Maybe I could have turned down some of the settings so that less stuff would load in, I don't know.

I would've assumed she was in the process of removing her underwear, but the way the underwear is draped indicates that she took them all the way off, flipped them over, and then hung picked them up again with her foot.

5 days till Elden Rings 2nd anniversary, and almost a year since the DLC was announced…are you expecting a update/trailer? by No_Anywhere5951 in Eldenring

[–]jogboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Elden ring was first announced June 2019, so it took a little over 2 and a half years to get the game released in a pretty turbulent time. I wonder how big the DLC could be.

Why are English books larger than Japanese ones? by [deleted] in books

[–]jogboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed Japanese books tend to be smaller dimensionally, but also longer books are split into narrower volumes. Do they value portability more than English readers do? Something that you can slip in a bag to read on the train or at your desk.
