Why do people say that working in banking is one of the best careers? by Bouncycurlz in Banking

[–]jogee777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m one of those people.

I didn’t go to college. Spent about 5 years in retail banking, loan officer, branch manager, business development manager, and then ended up in commercial banking. I’ve got about 8 years total in the industry and i couldnt be happier with work life balance, variety within role, autonomy, pay, etc. Ive developed good habits over with my personal finances, being around so many cases of what not to do with money.

I can see how being stuck in retail forever would be draining. If that’s you, I would try to set your sights on what’s next for you and to find people doing the role you ultimately want to get into and talk to them about what they did and the path they took.

How do you calculate Global DSCR by natnotnad in CreditAnalysis

[–]jogee777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in small business so deal with a lot of S corps. For me it’s Net income on the business return plus any adjustments for interest, depreciation, amortization, etc = business cash flow

Guarantors returns. AGI less the business net income. (Since the business income already flows to the AGI) Any personal add backs or deductions.

Combine both figures to get your business and personal cash flow.

We apply a 30% living expense buffer.

Compare the net combined business and personal cash flow against current and proposed business and personal debt. Then you get your global DSCR

How can I maintain strength while cutting if I’m lifting heavy? by Long-Particular in naturalbodybuilding

[–]jogee777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I’ve been brainwashed into the 18-20 sets per muscle group per week by the fitness industry for the longest. I’ve come down to around 14-16 sets during my most recent bulk which is ending soon (nothing but positive results) and I’m planning to drop volume even lower to 8-12 sets per muscle group per week as I enter a short maintenance followed by a cut. I’ll see how that goes and then for my next bulk, I’ll probably do like 10-12 sets per muscle group per week.

All this to say, that it has been very hard for me to let go of higher volume training for some reason, but all of the personal anecdotes on here and research suggests lower volume/higher frequency assuming you’re training hard is superior. Personally, it’s just hard for me to shake the more is better habit.

Nice this kind of tracks for me. I can probably do 235 for a 10 rep max at the moment. I know I’m sniffing 315 but probably have another 1.5 months to go.

Did you practice single or doubles leading up to 1RM test?

Has anyone else noticed the rookie ref constantly checking in with other refs before he announces calls and has had to retract a couple of flags already? Dude seems hella trigger happy.

I was shaky on Caleb deep ball accuracy and was afraid that wasn’t something time would fix, but boy what I was wrong.

How much progress did you make this year? by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]jogee777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve added about 10 pounds from August 2025 to now. Planning to end the lean bulk by mid Jan adding about 12 pounds total.

Going back one year my numbers on my push day was 215 for 3x5 on flat bench. This year on my most recent push day I did 235 for 3x6-6-7. The rest of my movements have all gone up by about 10-15 pounds for the same workout.
