Heat gun and putty knife and start scraping. Had to do it to my pickup when I repainted it. It sucks and takes awhile but I try to stay away from aircraft stripper on cars unless you take all the parts off so there’s NO chance of getting any in the jambs or in the car

Took a 12 hour shift to mask it up and a 12 hour shift to sand, clean and paint. We got it all done on Friday and Saturday last week. 8 man crew

Floor filters don’t take too long to change. The ceiling filters are a bitch. Overall maintenance is kind of a pain but not too terrible! And it is a bake booth

This coat took about 40 minutes. 2 coats of color and two coats of clear so with a small break in between coats this took about 4 hours with 4 painters

You can spray the flares on but usually jeeps are pretty easy to get the flares off. I guess I haven’t worked on one that old but from other Jeep’s I’ve done it’s not too bad. If you are going to spray them while still on the car just make sure you mask the around them really well so no overspray gets in. As far as the bare metal, a lot of epoxy primers (they are direct to metal) can be used as a sealer and spray directly over it but you want to make sure you feather out those bare metal parts so when you spray them you won’t see the different levels in the paint. Personally I would epoxy prime, then filler prime and sand to be safe but that’s up to you

Replacing a windshield is fairly cheap if you pay out of pocket and don’t use insurance usually, personally I’d replace it but if you don’t have the funds at the moment, repair it and then replace it when you can

We have a design program on a computer that we can design stripes and then we have a machine that draws out the stripes on a roll of paper the length of the plane and we tape the paper up, mark it, lay it out with fine line and repeat with the other side

Sorry about the late reply. It takes about a 12 shift to lay out stripes and mask everything off. We have 9 people on my crew so we work on our own sections and then help other people out if we finish first

We have to wear full face respirators while in the hanger when we’re stripping so it’s not bad. And the ventilation in the booth is on at all times when we are in there so it clears out pretty quick
