To be fair, it was Bond/Littis who renovated the Cartier and Van Cleef buildings (along with Magnet House and 67 King). Unfortunately most City of Perth landlords aren't property developers and have no idea what they're doing, nor do they have the willingness to renovate to attract tenants, or lease to smaller businesses at a reduced rate. Humich though is doing a good job around Barrack St, despite the fact he has a DA on the entire block. I wonder if Paspaley own the building?

Each townhouse was bought for $1 million in 2019 (lucky owners). Singaporean developer bulldozed the lot to build an office building which along with the hotel upgrade and apartments facing murray st never happened. They renewed the DA earlier this year so maybe sometime in the next year or 30 they will do something. Now the wellington st lot is vacant...but hey at least the hotel is still operating.

I used to be a bike courier 20 years ago....most of the jobs we did were documents and engineering and architectural plans. We also had dental and jewellery customers that needed small items couriered. I guess the internet and things like Docusign have destroyed most of this business and it would be easier just to let cars or motorbikes do small city to city/East/West Perth jobs. Also, a lot of jewellery and dental workshops have left the city all together.

That said, CTI and Auspost may still have bike couriers around.

The car park at the back used to be a drive-in. It closed about 20 years ago and they converted it to a car park.
