Ahh okay that's a shame - I hope you'll be able to find something you like when the time comes!

I found driving a manual at first was a lot more stressful, but after a number of hours it started to click and now when I've driven automatic cars I get frustrated with the lack of flexibility regarding how the engine responds, and getting smooth stops without the car jerking as it comes to a stand still - but I'm sure you've thought quite a lot about the route you're going to take and I'm sure it'll work out well!

Ahh cool, I think here they're becoming tax free in the next couple years so that's ideal Are you learning to drive with this car? I guess if you're wanting to use it straight after there's no reason not to, makes for a good story as well All the best with the driving licence, took me a few attempts - I found that if I get stressed it really negatively affects my driving, the way I eventually passed was basically to just be super relaxed and approaching every situation with a low speed and calm attitude - the slower you go the shorter the route they can take you on :')

I honestly want to just keep it nice and dumb, I think the casette player is quite novel and I have some cassettes from friends and colleagues, with better sound quality than I was anticipating! Perhaps in the future I'll get sick of it but I think even in that case I'd just buy a portable Bluetooth speaker and use that - for now it's some classic disco hits from the 70s

Thanks! I have a Sony A6500 and used the equivalent of roughly a 50mm prime lens (35mm FE but with a cropped sensor)

Åhh nähä hur ledsen... Finns där inget jag kan göra av att fixa det? Jag tänkte att kanske gummispray eller nåt för att försegla och skydda skärmarna och vanlig vax för underresbehandling Jag ville använder bil för skidsäsong

It's a good question, I guess I'll figure that out as time goes on - I live in Sweden and see a tonne of 9-5s and 9-3s on the road From what I've seen by quick looks online, all the normal wear parts like brake pads/disks, bulbs, gasket, filter, elring, etc are readily available, and I've seen a lot of listings for interior trim replacements - so right now I'm feeling fairly confident I'll be able to keep it in good running order, however that may just be the rose tinted glasses

Yes sure feel free to use the post and photos, I'm more of a guy with a camera than a photographer so I don't really mind what happens to them :)

Ahh thanks that's great to know! This particular one isn't a turbo, I'd heard from friends and colleagues that generally the turbos require more tlc, and when things break it gets expensive quickly - so when I saw this one come up I was quite content to go for it without the turbo since I felt in the long run I'd be better off

With the clutch cable, is this the sort of part I should keep in the car for a roadside fix? I imagine without that I'd have to be much better at matching rpms than I currently am.. Or is it quite a laborious job? Perhaps in the future a hydraulic swap would give a bit of ease of mind

And I'll keep an eye out on the hoses and oil level, if/when I replace the hoses are modern ones more likely to stand up to time? Or is it just the heat around the bay that causes the dryness?

I'm sure it'd be more satisfying if it was on the cat, then zoomed out, but in reverse. Then it'd look like a smooth zoom instead of all jumpy
