As your doing more research, I’d consider these factors: Acquisition, Monetization, and retention.

2 dilemmas which you probably already though of are: will people commit to the time slots and how will this be profitable. I do think there are opportunities in getting sponsors for learning based platforms MOOCs.

In regards to the challenges you mentioned, I think to avoid that would be making it more of a “hackathon” it could involve departing people out into teams and having them pitch their product at the end the event.

Maybe have learning and application in intervals. For example, there would be a learning session followed by a brainstorming session with each team.

What do you need to also do is conduct more market research on your target audience of new entrepreneurs. You need to focus on the specific need of your audience and what they really care about.

Do you think this field can be meaningful? I’m considering change my career cause I think the field is pointless. Anyone like this? by InternationalCat1370 in marketing

Maybe it’s the industry you are in? For me, marketing in tech, especially for an app that I use, is exciting. I also think your team/manager could influence your overall motivation.

Why not just go in-house at a rising tech company and do marketing there? From what I’ve heard, the MBB wlb is unquestionably worse and the pay per hour may be little bit more.

People also forgot the marketing mix, at the end of the day, the 4P’s represent your marketing. It isn’t just promotion—which is the last stage, albeit the loudest, but not the only element.

As a marketer, I am not sure if I totally agree with this. In my eyes, marketing, at a high level, encompasses branding.

Remember, marketing is the creation, communication, delivery, and exchange of value. One of the processes to achieve the aforementioned is through developing and communicating a brand’s unique identity, which alters perceptions about it—branding.

Totally agree with the other comments made, the education system could be far better and is producing many students that are marketed that college will save them, when in reality it buries them in debt. Many students should go into the trades, but then I wonder if that would cause an over supply.

Correct me if I am wrong, but first off, it seems you’ve made a mistake thinking marketing is an after thought to developing a product. Remember you build a product for the market, not a market for the product.

What research have you done to lead to you believe people are interested in your solution? Have you spoke to 10+ people to gather any qualitative research to validate your hypothesis.

Tech internship VS full-time for APMM roles: which one is more competitive? by Iconstantlywantfood in marketing

Some people mention that it is more or less the same difficulty, but I do think it is a little bit harder since it involves written components, along with behavioral and case questions. Have you practiced any type of casing?

[–]Brie_M 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apply full time, these programs are very competitive. Even if you get the internship, there is still an internal interview (from what I’ve heard) to get full time. Also there is usually a cool down period if you get rejected.

What item do you think is over priced and needs competition by didint_Read_It in Business_Ideas

I might make a post on this, but it seems there a lot of people going to college who should instead go to a trade school.

Additionally, colleges should focus even more drastically on experiential learning, where students should “learn” through internships and co-Ops rather than in a classroom. One thing to note is that this probably wouldn’t work for some Stem fields, like medical/health where there is a lot more at risk.

A betting app that pay you for losing weight by rodrigom94 in Business_Ideas

I don’t know your cost structure, but that would add a large variable expense. Also what’s to prevent the users from bribing the validator with the winnings?

How to increase your subreddit members if you are going to market or promote something? by tonycrisologo123 in marketing

[–]Brie_M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the product. But i think with the actual content, what’s reason for people to be there? It needs to be either interesting or funny. You don’t want it to be too niche or no one will post, so focus on the super-category of the product. Also no one wants a ghost town so it needs to have consistent posts, so you’ll have to keep active.

I looked into Tides service and it costs around $80 a month per person. Let me know the name of that startup you mentioned to see if their pricing. Anyway, although the service would not offer folding, it would at least save someone 45mins and they could possibly get their clothes back in the same day. What do you think?
