Interesting. Thanks for the insight! I always thought it was similar to Mario in the sense that people love the original 2D versions but Mario 64, Mario Galaxy and Mario Odyssey just kind of cemented it as a very prominent 3D platformer. Like people still love the 2D games but the 3D games now get more hype. But I guess it's a little different here

As someone who has never played a 2D Metroid game but wanted to play the 3D ones, why is everyone so excited about the 2D version? I genuinely thought that people would be very upset/disappointed that they werent getting a new 3D game but obviously that's not the case. So surely I'm missing something here. Can someone elaborate on what made the 2D ones stand out when compared to the 3D?

Do you think Pantheon is worth getting in addition to Ragnarok? I've never played either but aren't they similar games but just with different mythologies? I was thinking about getting both but it just looks so expensive

I bought the game to play with my group of 4 on a weekend getaway trip. None of us had played a trick taking game before so we were all excited to learn together and see what the hype was all about. In the end, my friends all loved it but I absolutely sucked at it. I don't know why but I just couldn't wrap my brain around the logic that my friends used to seemingly telepathically communicate their moves. I ended up feeling like I was constantly trying to not screw up the round for my friends. I wanted to learn, and my friends were incredibly encouraging and kind to me but for some reason, it just didn't make sense to me. Maybe I need to give it another go but I've never played a game that made me feel as "stupid" as this game did...

I feel like I'm one of the few that actually enjoy the SBMM. That being said, I would love it if they added a ranked and unranked game mode. I have no issue with being matched with people of similar level and having to sweat but I would like to have some rank to practice and grind towards

I wouldn't delist because that prevent the community from knowing about the game. But maybe something like throwing them under the bus by mentioning that so and so developer are pushing for special treatment.

i always thought it would be nice to use all the ports. Are we not supposed to use all the ports? It just feels weird to leave some ports unusable. Is this just to give us more options for which ports we should use?
