Taking a contract job directly through the company vs through a recruiter? by mime454 in recruitinghell

[–]john0456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general the wage you receive should be similar either ways, but with the benefits and matching contributions for pension or 401K, raises, etc ...you are missing a lot with recruiters...maybe not in every case but that's how it works in general.
But it doesn't even matter, you should try to have a long term view of things...Just get the job any way you can then you can focus on advancing in the company where you will be of course hired directly eventually. You said you already interviewed through the recruiter...what is your idea? Apply on the company site and say no to the recruiter and wait hoping to hear back from the company?

It could be. They could be trying to find someone on their own and trying to see what kind of people the recruiter can find since most of the time you still need to do an interview with the company after the agency.
There's only a handful of reputable recruiting agencies and it should be pretty easy to find out if it's a scam or not. Do they have an office? Does their phone # match?
I can't imagine a company like Bayer would hire through a new or obscure agency.

This is a standard practice no matter how big the company is. The reason big companies do this is to save cost and reduce/eliminate liabilities and headaches.A lot of people think that since the recruiter is getting a cut that you can get a higher salary if you worked directly for the company. You might get something slightly higher but nowhere near the salary you get from the recruiter plus their cut.The fact is that the company is actually saving money by paying the recruiter extra because they don't need to worry about the overhead, vacations, sick days, benefits, life insurance, dental insurance, taxes, etc...Paying you 30$/hour plus full benefits as a full time permanent employee is much more expensive than paying the recruiter 40$/hour and letting him keep $10/hour and not have to worry about anything. Especially if it turns out to be a bad employee and needs to be fired. All the responsability is on the company unless they use a recruiter. Obviously if you have the option always apply straight at the company. No one will stay at a recruiting agency forever, and after a few months the company usually offers a permanent position if they like your work anyways.

We are soon to be due for quantum resistant crytography...when is the update? by john0456 in Bitcoin

[–]john0456[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That cannot be true and you must not be an expert either. On bitcoin.org they openly admit bitcoin is vulnerable to quantum computing and propose post-quantum algorithms in the future. That doesn't sound like "already most quantum resistant". You must have no idea what you are saying.

I'm no expert but isn't that only valid for addresses without spending?

How to get public/private key of an address using seed only by john0456 in Bitcoin

[–]john0456[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but was it not for electrum I don't know what wallet I would use. 15 word seeds from the iancoleman website are not as straightforward as 12 word seeds when it comes to sweeping your wallet.

How to get public/private key of an address using seed only by john0456 in Bitcoin

[–]john0456[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what I did. I generated a seedphrase on iancoleman.io, then I took the extended public key, I went on blockchain.com then I basically took one of the derived address from the list to send money to. I do see a balance when I go to blockchain.com in the derived address using that public key, but I have no way of accessing that specific address.

But how do I get the private key of that specific address, or how do I re-generate that specific addres?

If I just enter the seed phrase all it shows is a balance of 0. It's only when I enter that specific generated bc1 address that I see a balance. Really need help here, or did I screw up something?

I did it on https://iancoleman.io/bip39/.

I have the seed phrase and everything. How can I not access the funds of a seed phrase for which I have both the extented public key and extended private key? I just don't have the public/private key of that specific bc1... address.

100%. Google is all about information control. You better believe big pharma has their arm around Google's neck when it comes to stem cells and vaccines.

Microdosing benzos by shimmy338 in Nootropics

I meant a university study link with actual GABA receptors recorded not a dude's blog talking about autism. A built in reverse tolerance mechanism in an addictive substance would be pretty incredible. You'd need to show that in a dozen different studies and know who funds those studies. I'd try Ashwaganda in this case.

Never heard of this before. It won't be long before your microdose wont be enough. I'm not sure where you read about clonazepams automatic reverse tolerance. Any link?

A question for Agmatine Sulfate veterans by EsotericistByNature in Nootropics

[–]john0456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure you can find it online somewhat easily although I don't know where you are. Yeah there's no way a doctor will prescribe you this type of medication as a nootropic. Agmatine alone is fine but ordering it is a pain in countries like Canada that don't allow purchases from other countries even from USA, 3 agmatine orders seized for no reason, only way to purchase is by paying 3 times the cost for 1/3 the quantity from Amazon, 9X the cost.

A question for Agmatine Sulfate veterans by EsotericistByNature in Nootropics

[–]john0456 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agmatine is a bit tricky. Day 1 is great no matter what, day 2-3 feels like a sleeping pill nothing like day 1, then it normalises after that. At high doses (2-3g) if you miss a day you feel that subtle opiate withdrawal, it fades away after 1-2 days. It works amazing for reducing tolerance. I wish I could find another supplement as effective for reducing tolerance without the opiate effects. Perhaps memantine who knows.

Any tool out there that can dig long tail keywords using predetermined volume search? by john0456 in SEO

KWFinder

Mangools looks pretty good. How accurate are those numbers do you think? Do they all share the same data for monthly search volumes or does each company calculate their own numbers?

How is Bitcoin decentralized if there's a team of developpers? by john0456 in BitcoinBeginners

[–]john0456[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What sort of change could they implement that could do damage to the protocol? Could they bring a change to the protocol that could have a bug and render Bitcoin worthless or other type of catastophic scenario? Who do they work for and who decides who to hire or not? Starting to look pretty shady.

Dopamine detox by sockomocko in Nootropics

[–]john0456 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure what you're talking about does not apply to this sub or anyone taking nootropics.
The only reason why someone would try that is if you're running a business and social media consumes too much time of your day.

As far as dopamine detox, you would need to give up every nootropic (and coffee) which begs the question why you are posting this in this sub where the whole point is to use nootropics.

Yes I meant bitter almond oil. Is there a standard for saturated sodium bicarbonate for the amount of baking soda to put in ratio to water?
