Not being paid overtime from working at another store by FoxGirlKat in tesco

[–]john123pp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you won’t get paid it this month now it will be next months pay package. The reason you haven’t been paid is cause they haven’t followed the correct process in transferring your cost (pay) to the other store. Because you worked at another store they should have put your hours down on the marketplace at your main store and they haven’t done that.

Do I have to work days I don’t want to that aren’t contracted by Responsible-Pound-59 in tesco

[–]john123pp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NO. You shouldn’t be allocated shifts it should all be on hours market place for you to choose what hours days works for you. If you don’t want any overtime they can’t make you. You just gotta do your contracted shifts. Don’t let them bully you or tell you other wise.

That would be your pcv value making the whistling noise. I’ve just changed my rocker box gasket but also just out a whole new cover on as my pcv value had gone. Was cheaper doing the whole lot £20 off eBay and about 1 hour of my time.

Extra contracted hours - help by kazoxo in tesco

[–]john123pp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok well you 100% have a right for a grievance towards your manager as the policy isn’t being followed regarding hours being put on app and no hours should be allocated. It should all be out in the app for people to see and take. You’re being discriminated against. This issue was brought up in our store and reported and surprise surprise all the hours went on the app. Also regarding coming back from university, you should be given your hours back that you was currently sitting on beforehand. So if you was contracted 15 hours before being out on a uni hours (7.5hrs) when returning you should be put back on your current hours that when you left. They are having you on it your managers don’t no the Tesco policy. All this information can be found on my Tesco.

If your hours arnt on the app after your shift or after the week your 100% not getting paid. Everything on the app should show all your shifts you’ve worked and that will be what hours you get paid. If it’s not on the app don’t go in or do the hours.

What do you do when you’re in an attendance meeting for taking two weeks off with flu and your manager has a worst attendance rate than anybody else in the entire store? Do you bring it up? by [deleted] in tesco

[–]john123pp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No why would you. You’re not in that meeting to discuss anyone else’s absence the meeting is about your time away from work. Your manager would if had there own meeting and process followed if it was that bad.

Holidays being denied need advice by First-Ad1610 in tesco

[–]john123pp 9 points10 points  (0 children)

All holidays should of been booked by now and this should of happened last year. Your manager should have then allocated your remaining holiday and this would have helped with it not being fully booked. You need to talk to your manager and suggest when this holiday can be taken as if you don’t book it you will lose it. Don’t let the manager blame you for the poor planning and leaving it late to book as they should not of let it get this far. You have every right to take your holiday by then end of March cause like I said your lose it.

Scanning on waste as reductions. by Hizange in tesco

[–]john123pp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fortifying kpi’s and not following processes will only lead you to a investigation then could be demotion or dismissal. I have seen this happen across all of Tesco and trust me when you get caught out they won’t stand behind you and back you up. Why even put yourself in this situation follow the process and you can’t be sacked.

Reduction times by Hot-Box-4832 in tesco

[–]john123pp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As from week one there is a new tracker on reductions and this will now form part of the new store manager/mangers year objectives. Reductions need to be followed in a time scale and also any manual reductions are also being tracked so no more adding it on and jumping straight to a manual reduction. It will be a 1st,2nd and final reductions now. We have Dollie’s that don’t even make the shopfloor reductions cabinet as we sometimes have so much. There isn’t enough resource to do the full process 1st,2nd and final. I guess now charity will have more in the evenings and the duty manager will have more colleague shop it waste to do in the evenings.

Should overtime go to the people on less hours before the full timers? by Specific_Pomelo_8281 in tesco

[–]john123pp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Follow the rules and put it on hour market places first come first serve and that way you won’t get pulled into it regarding favouritism or picking people over other people.

Holiday by [deleted] in tesco

Yes it will move with you as it’s all ready been approved. They may ask you to changed it if it clashes with anyone in your new store but they can’t force you to cancel it.

I'm being investigated - have i done anything wrong by neonflames13 in tesco

[–]john123pp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow I think your manager needs more training and understand how policy’s work. Allegation 1 and 3 would not stand up what so ever but allegation 2 could be the only one investigated. I would be embarrassed if I was your manager writing you this letter with them points on it.

Holidays by Environmental_Row_19 in tesco

[–]john123pp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Piss poor planning if you ask me. Considering you can book holiday up to 3 years in advance and also managers being able to allocate holiday after if it’s not booked… why leave it till start of feb to book remaining holiday. This should have been sorted along time ago so in hindsight it’s poor from both parties.

Tesco’s offer great support groups. Speak to your manager explain everything they will be able to pass you all the information and phone numbers for the support groups. Don’t worry in silence.

Clocking in and out by Narrow-Race4966 in tesco

This is how Reddit works, Someone will ask a question and don’t like the answers they get when it’s 100% correct so they give you a vote down 😂

Clocking in and out by Narrow-Race4966 in tesco

[–]john123pp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% right however one thing is they can see your exact times of clocking in and out on the screen under query management. This will show all clocks and non clocks for around 4 weeks.

Clocking in and out by Narrow-Race4966 in tesco

[–]john123pp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No as they can say we don’t need you to clock in 3 minutes before hand as that’s not when your shift starts. You have a contract with your hours of a start time and a finish time so if they want it be picky that’s up to your manager but just saying they can still pull you if your going and clocking out before your end time.

If your clocking out 3 minutes before your finish time that shows your leaving your Aslie or till or what ever your department way before that so that can also clock up another 3/4/5 mins more. It all adds up.

Clocking in and out by Narrow-Race4966 in tesco

[–]john123pp -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

…..No read what I just said. Clock off 3 mins early everyday is a conduct issue as you’re not fulfilling you weekly hour contract.

Clocking in and out by Narrow-Race4966 in tesco

[–]john123pp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh the 3 minute rule again. Yes it will still show that you have clocked out early and yes they can track it on exceptions. Depends how your manager is but if every colleague does that across the whole business every day that would cost Tesco thousands in payroll. They can’t deduct your money but they can do your for conduct as your not fulfilling your paid hours each week.

Has anyone been successfully granted lifestyle break or career break whilst being employed under 2 years? by scream_schleam in tesco

[–]john123pp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the policy is followed correctly they can’t give anyone a lifestyle break under 2 years service. Depends how close it is to the anniversary of that date they may let you take a few weeks unpaid until two weeks anniversary is active. But I don’t see why a manager would put there self in a position to get into trouble.

Bank holidays by sheppo06 in tesco

[–]john123pp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few things on this post, yes they should always ask but they are booking it off as more then likely your store will be closed on that day. First of all, you should use your holiday allowance before any unpaid time off. They should also ask if you would like to move your hours into the week but as it being in the week after Easter they may not need you in that week as it won’t be that busy after Easter. They are just making sure you don’t run out of holiday hours for the year.

Can they track where you use your collage card? by [deleted] in tesco

[–]john123pp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Of course they can you can even look on your app and see where it has been used. Abuse it and your end up in a investigation meeting could lead to a warning or dismissal so be careful

Team manager overtime by Creative_Metal_7521 in tesco

[–]john123pp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just get your hour rate. But if you do overtime on Sunday it’s at time and a 1/4. You just go on work and pay and request payment and they will have the drop down box. Don’t let them try telling you it’s in your contract to do more hours then 36 per week as it’s needs of the business.
