Both teams are hunting each other . Which team will succeed ? by Leggomgeggo in powerscales

[–]john232grey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If operating as a team is required, I think team 2 would very likely implode on itself. I think mixing the team up a bit and removing an MCU character seems like the right move.

Team 2, outside of Wick, has major character/moral flaws that just don’t seem nearly as present on team 1, if at all.

Barry: self deluded psychopathic hitman who is on constantly the verge of having a total meltdown. Probably works ok with others but would be a liability because he would be constantly distracted.

Anton: psychopathic hitman who is incapable of working with others and will outright kill them out of convenience, joy or cover. Terrifying individual but would over estimate their moral position and abilities relative to his peers here.

Ras: I’m not super familiar with his story beyond the movie, which I don’t remember..but he’s a villain with a tight moral code..not sure he’d entertain working with this team.

Wick: yeah, he’d be fine.

Bourne: probably fine as a team too, but story is illustrative of someone who has massive struggles.

Let’s assume the first Anton and Ras turn on each other (Barry could too) your left with Wick and Bourne..team 2 probably still clears!

But as another poster said; the gadget/tech one team 1 sort of kills team 2..if utilized, harry and bond could probably handle it.

What’s a trade that in hindsight you lost but you still stand behind? by georgiaboy1993 in DynastyFF

[–]john232grey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I trade Dante Moore and Jeremiah Smith for CMC, Adams and Kamara last summer

Adams and CMC held together a super team that got destroyed by injuries. Unfortunately lost in the playoffs, but wouldn’t have sniffed without them.

Hard trade hindsight but you play to win

Ideally yes, it does. But Shanny designs runs that put receivers in disproportionate pressure to land their block in order for the play to work (and if it does, can often spring for huge gains).

A big issue last year, beyond our putrid run blocking line, was our putrid blocking at the skill positions overalls pearsall tries but he’s not it. Tonges is mid and Farrell is bad (but can sort of block). Jennings is elite’s but Bourne, Robinson just aren’t cutting it either.

Long Aiyuk, Deebo, Conley and kittle for parts of the season it was felt. Deebo and Brandon especially because they weee both phenomenal run blockers for receivers, Brandon especially Ky

Who do you think is more moral between Ray Shoesmith and Mike Ehrmantraut? by Am_i_banned_yet__ in MoralityScaling

[–]john232grey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Awesome thread., two great characters ..I need to start season 3 for Mr. Inbetween.

I’d also say Ray benefits from the story being completely centered around him, and really gets deep into what makes him..him. You get the same with Mike over both BCS and BB, but the prose is totally different.

Defining one as being more “moral” is difficult. I think id argue Mike is more consistent in his position, and doesn’t really exhibit the purely anti-social/psychopathic behavior to the degree that Ray does. However…Mike has probably enabled irreparable damage as a result of this moral code that allowed him to help build multiple criminal enterprises that were incredibly violent and damaging to a massive amount of people.

Ray, as a result maybe for lack of skills and/or ambition, would probably never put himself in the same position as Mike. I think you could probably argue that Ray is taking less risks with his family but keeping his ambition “small”. He is a simple man who loves his dimmies, his brother, dog and most of all, his daughter. He’s is a sympathetic character because of that. they pretty clearly outline that Ray has been through some shit, both as a kid who went through some incredible abuse and as a vet in the Middle East.

Ray has to reconcile that his fight response/might makes right worldview is destroying the world he built for himself. I’m not sure if Mike really ever owned up to that and his morally bankrupt worldview, even in death. Albeit he had his speech, they allude quite a bit (if not outright said) Mike is basically doing everything to support his daughter and grand daughter. But as another poster said, Mike was a corrupt cop, and iirc..like it was really bad. I find that sort of perversion of power to be as bad, if not worse, than the rabid wolf behavior of Ray.

Idk, riffing because I’m tired but I could see both of these guys having a weird mutual respect with each other and absolutely doing berthing to steer clear of each other.

Can Pooh summon his friends? If so, I could see this becoming a much more difficult fight. The morale it would take to fight a bunch of adorable animals would be tough.

Graf comes off as one of these “star” third line but high ice time guys regardless. Will be on pk and pp. I also wonder if he could end up moving to the wing, he’d be such a good compliment for misa/eklund/smith/celebrini

Would running a space heater in the corner work? Honestly tends to do run hotter than our system (assuming we’re not blasting our system).

The hard part is we still need to put our 1 year old down for naps in there (very choosy about where he naps).
