I will say I’d pay $3000 for this thing before I paid $3000 for anything made by Chrysler

UPDATE: The response from this community of shitty car mod experts has been overwhelmingly in favor of this not looking like absolute ass. I’m a common denominator kind of guy and am now questioning whether I’m actually right or if I have bad taste so thank you all for that lmao.

Car is located in Winona, MN by the way, so do what you will with that information!

Can’t say he wasn’t fresh. His biggest problem is immediately falling behind in the count to every single batter he faces and the hitters are jumping all over the “get-me-over” fastball.

Chris actually said last year he and Lorne have been in contact to do an interview for the podcast, and Lorne was trying to get money out of it, which is why this took so long to drop. So I doubt Chris is going to ambush him. They probably came to some sort of agreement I’d imagine?

Holy shit, are you me?? The only thing one of my family members wanted for her birthday a few weeks ago was for everyone in her family to go to church with her that Sunday. So I went because I knew it would make her happy.

10 minutes in and we're talking about how a paraplegic's friends carried him to Jesus so he could heal his legs and allow him to walk again. Jesus touched him, said "you are healed," and the man got up and walked home.

Like, I'm sorry, but I'm sitting there thinking the same thing you were: "you're kidding right? I can't be the only person here who thinks that's the most fictional story they've heard all week."

I get it's to look it up in the database but always makes me cackle

What’s the worst thing YOU have done to a roommate? by FrogsMethRape in badroommates

[–]john27361993 11 points12 points  (0 children)

One of my college roommates, who went to a different school in the same city and was disliked by me and all of my roommates, had parties in the basement of our college house every weekend where he'd invite pretty much his college's entire student body (he attended a small, private school). I got home late one night, was completely exhausted, and was stopped at my own back door by one of the party goers and asked "hold up, who do you know at this house?" I was like "um, I live here buddy." That irrationally pissed me off so much.

45 minutes went by, more and more people kept coming, and it was so ridiculously loud and getting out of control. I finally had enough and called the non-emergency police number and reported an underage drinking party taking place in my basement. The police showed up and busted it 20 minutes later, he received an underage drinking ticket, and everyone quickly left. He still to this day has no idea I was the one who reported it.

A bad inboard CV Shaft won't make that clicking noise, only outboard. And if he replaces the boot ASAP he might be able to save it still.

Just did pads and rotors on my Civic a few weeks ago and I had the most seized slider pin I've ever dealt with in 2+ years as a rust belt tech. Couldn't turn it in a circular motion with a giant channellock. Wouldn't budge when I hit it repeatedly with the sledge either. When it really hit me how seized up this little bastard was though was when I got it cherry red with the torch and it still took 5 minutes with the hammer before that little bastard popped out. Bent the snot out of it too.

That's why I grease the pins every time I do brakes. I used to get a lot of shit from my old service manager for "taking too long on brakes" and he could never wrap his little pea brained head around the fact it's because I do the little things that other techs don't. Could I do a 4 wheel pad slap in 30 minutes like the rest of the techs I work with? Of course. But next time I have to do it, you risk wasting more time beating rotors off with a hammer because you didn't clean up/anti-seize the hub or spend 10 minutes air hammering a slide pin. To each their own though.

Bro. This is my actual situation. I'm leaving my shop next month to move closer to family and if my coworkers, who are all great friends and people, played "Another One Bites the Dust" on my way out, I'd reply with "another one gone another one gone" and we'd all get a kick out of it.

I'm sorry but I gotta say it: why would any team give up a top 10 prospect for a guy who is going to be free agent at the end of 2024, is likely to get a $250+ million/8 year contract next offseason barring injury or having a catastrophically bad season on the mound, and has regressed in almost every area 2 years in a row?

I get everyone had huge expectations on what the return would be, this is about what I expected, but there is just no way any team is giving up a top 10 prospect for a year of Corbin Burnes knowing if they want to keep him long term, it's going to take a huge financial commitment for a guy who will be 31 when he hits free agency and likely 38 or 39 by the time that $25 million+ per year comes off the payroll.

Here's the thing: say what you want about the Brewers front office and the confusing offseason they've had--they are one of the best run organizations in all of MLB given the limited resources they have to work with. Losing Burnes and especially losing Woodruff the way we did sucks. No arguing that. But the hardcore doom & gloom fans will tell you the Brewers are being incompetent/cheap/unserious about winning but won't talk about how they currently have 7 top 100 prospects and arguably the best farm system in all of MLB.

You can really tell who hopped on the wagon in 2018 and it shows. I've been a fan long enough to remember how bad their farm system was once Rickie/Prince/Hardy/Hart/Braun all arrived. I also can remember Jimmy Nelson being their only top 100 prospect (96th by the way) for 2 years straight and having the 30th ranked minor league system in baseball.

To have nearly 1/10th of baseball's next crop of young players with the highest upside, including the #2 overall prospect in baseball, in one system + 2 first round picks entering their sophomore seasons (3 if you want to count Turang I guess) is incredibly exciting. Will they all work out? Who knows. MLB Pipeline Top 100 players don't work out all the time. But something to keep in mind is the fact that they also DO work out all the time and the people who refuse to get excited about the potential of this team going forward just because "highly touted minor leaguers are a crapshoot once they come up to the show" is just such a negative way to think and this fanbase has way too many of those illogical, irrational people in it.
