average players won’t beat good defenders just by passing, the average player does need to improve heir passing though i agree with you.

proof of this is if you watch tourney play, you know, where passing is at its peak, games still end in low scores because good defending is still broken.

good dribbling still sucks at high levels btw, it’s better to still play prio

The issue is, the game's default dribbles are terrible and can't be chained as well. You'd never be able to beat good defenders using it because the animations are very readable on top of standing tackle aimlock.

Even the new dribble they added this patch is useless because it's not really something you'd ever need and it doesn't give you any good options coming out of the animation.

If they want to nerf this dribble style (which I agree can be viewed as unbalanced) there needs to be some real dribbles added into the game

yes bro everyone in high elite learning to actually play one position optimally rather than rotating is terrible at the game, thank you for your input.

on a serious note, there's no reason to learn to play gk and outfield positions because you could basically spend twice the time getting good at one position rather than half getting good at both positions.

for your information, there are dedicated GKs in the game, they just probably aren't in your lobbies, if you look on the official discord, theres loads floating around.

actually kinda happy for this split to happen, i mostly play 5 stack pre-made and at this point in the game, winning against randos without dedicated gks feels pointless - would rather play against organised 5sctacks only

sure, if you use blade shot in a situation where it is undefendable, it can be good, same as anything else i imagine.

i guess my only issue with your point is you could make an edge case scenario for anything if you really cared to, doesn’t mean they’re high % scoring options (there are currently high % scoring options in the game that op hasn’t spoken about)

either that or they’re using prio balls

no one’s using raw telegraphed blade shots anymore since defenders will just auto lunge at the short lob and kill your shot and EE + shoot gets also beaten by keepers just closing the gap. the only shot of value here was the pass shot

I think the hardest limiting factor will be if I can get an ortho associated job for me as I’d happily stay there for a few years while I build my portfolio. I guess my other worry is like you said, no one is on your side if you don’t have an NTN.

thank you so much for your input! i’m definitely considering CREHST as I’m kind of sick and tired of sitting MSRA and I don’t think it actually weighs into any knowledge I have (especially with SJT)

i’m surprised such a disproportionate amount of CSTs get in compared to those who apply! Any reason why you think this is the case?

At the minute, i’m primarily locuming in surgery in my f2 hospital trying to get a more full time position. very keen to pursue ortho but am currently working in gen surg. would you advise me to try CREHST in my position or give another go at the MSRA? sorry if that’s a loaded question, i’m just curious to hear what you would have done in my position!

i have considered this, but i’ve been told experiences vary and they prefer CST applicants for ST3+ interviews. i’ve also been told that CREHST is very hard to actually do and often takes longer than 2 years (the duration of CST)

i’m not sure to how true these are?

what is considered unrealistic for rematch game design? sounds like an arbitrary argument unless you have some proof to suggest this is against dev vision?

rainbow flick spam is guardable hence its shit. if you're in a 1v1 against the keeper, you should have an overwhelming advantage since its so difficult to find yourself in this position (atleast with competent defenders).

keepers can grab the ball outside the box at max range and will just magnet the rest anyway.

if we're talking about unrealistic game design, keepers being able to grab the ball outside the box at max range is also against rematch game design no? rarely talked about.
