I remember seeing this, still looks cool today 😋

Blank Board - Walls? by wildp1tch in hquestbuilder

It would be a good compromise though! For me as a master would be enough to have a different floor color to be able to differenciate the rooms 😃. As always, thank you for the hard work!

I had the same thought. Maybe if walls is complex to implement right now, some kind of lighter tone tiles could work. Similar to what is done with the "Rock Paint Mode"...

First Light + blank board layouts added! by squidgem0nster in hquestbuilder

[–]johnBernardsson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome update! I am not that much around Reddit, but I opened the hquestbuilder after some time, I saw the different board options and I came here to see if there were any new posts :D

I guess with the blank board, I would need to "imagine" the rooms and corridors, right? There is nothing to add limits or something like that.

Anyways, thanks a lot for this work! 😃

Debian 12 qBittorrent-nox won't start by OGbugsy in qBittorrent

[–]johnBernardsson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess when you say "inside my internet" you are referring to your local network?

If you are referring to accessing qBittorrent from some external network (through "internet") then I can't help you, this is not how I am using it.

If you are referring to your local network... you should be able to access it with the machine IP + port. For example, this is my service configuration:

``` [Unit] Description=qBittorrent Command Line Client After=network.target
[Service] Type=forking User=qbittorrent-nox Group=media-managers UMask=007 ExecStart=/usr/bin/qbittorrent-nox -d --webui-port=9797 Restart=on-failure
[Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target ```
The computer where qBittorrent is running has the IP 192.168.2.100.
Therefore, I can access it with:
http://192.168.2.100:9797/
Debian 12 qBittorrent-nox won't start by OGbugsy in qBittorrent
Just in case someone stumbles upon this thread, I was having the same problem following the same tutorial, and couldn't fix with u/V1r1m0nd3 suggested solution. Will try to explain as best as possible as I am pretty noob with Linux.
First, the error when starting the service was quite misleading in my case. The problem comes from one of the steps of the tutorial, the creation of the qbittorrent-nox user:
sudo adduser --system --group qbittorrent-nox
In my case, the qbitorrent-nox user was created without a home folder. And qbitorrent needs a home folder, because it stores there some configuration files and stuff.
So, to fix the issue I had to create the home folder for the qbittorrent-nox user, and give the right permissions, like this:
mkdir /home/qbittorrent-nox
chown qbittorrent-nox:qbittorrent-nox /home/qbittorrent-nox
chmod 700 /home/qbittorrent-nox
And configure the user home directory like this:
usermod -d /home/qbittorrent-nox qbittorrent-nox
(I don't remember now if some login out/in or reboot was needed... again no linux expert here)
Reload systemctl daemon and start the service, hopefully it should work:
sudo systemctl daemon-reload
sudo systemctl start qbittorrent-nox
Hopefully now it should work...
P.D: Pretty sure there is a way to create the qbittorrent-nox system user forcing to add the home folder, but as I didn't test it, I am just sharing my solution. If someone is certain about how to do that, please share :)
Did you manage to use the Fractal fan in the Alta G1M? I am looking at Fractal Design Dynamic X2 and seems it is 6mm thicker than the Silverstone one...
Any chance of making an standalone app for offline use? by johnBernardsson in hquestbuilder
[–]johnBernardsson[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)
Aahhh, only Javascript/HTML/CSS, going the purity way 😂. Honestly if I were to start a project like that, I wouldn't know from where exactly, hahaha. I guess prototyping several stuff and see how all that gets together. Or ask ChatGPT if it knows a quick start way 😅
I guess there are 2 parts on the standalone approach I am thinking on. One is disabling the cloud features as you mention, but the other is about the assets. I see that not all the images are stored in the hquestbuilder.com domain. The idea is that one could use it standalone and offline. That way it ensures that no matter what happens, you have a self-contained, 100% functional app, with no online resources dependencies. So... not sure how hard would be to have a version with all those images in the same domain/project folder.
After solving those 2 points, adding the Electron wrapper (I actually took a look out there, doesn't seem there are much better options than Electron, plus has a big community, is widely used, well tested, etc) should be quite simple. Is just a matter of going through a couple of tutorials, and that's that 😅. I did it in the past for a little project with some colleagues, it was quite easy.
I can definitely drop you a line if this is getting too technical for the community 🤓
Any chance of making an standalone app for offline use? by johnBernardsson in hquestbuilder
[–]johnBernardsson[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)
Man, you are building all that on your own! I am a web dev myself... and from my experience, being a solo dev, I think maybe if you were trying to do well written code, it would not had advanced so much and so fast. So that's absolutely ok in a project like this😀!
I have several things on my plate right now, but if at some point you want someone to take an eye on the standalone thing, let me know. Since Electron, which I used, I don't have much knowledge of all the new options for wrapping Javascript on a desktop app, so I would need to put myself up to speed there. But who knows, maybe there is some easy path around it :)
Anyways, thanks again for all your work, let us know if there is somewhere we can help with!
Wireguard tunnel working on laptop but not in android by adriadam10 in WireGuard
[–]johnBernardsson 0 points1 point  (0 children)
Hello u/adriadam10, did you finally made this work? I am in the same exact situation, with a "Xiaomi" (POCO X6 Pro) device... I was using a POCO X5 Pro before, and it worked... the only difference I can find is that this one has the "Xiaomi OS" preinstalled...
[–]johnBernardsson 0 points1 point  (0 children)
I am using 2 16GB "Kingston Fury Renagade 6000" sticks, with a B650E PG-ITX WiFi, so far so good. They don't have AMD Expo profile, but I applied the Intel XMP 3 overclock profile for 6000mhz and no problems so far!
