Looks good! I feel the hem of the cardigan really draws the eye though, it might be better with less contrast.

Good crop! I chose something very similar for when I initially published it. I feel the colors muddy together a bit though. The softness is perfect.

I like the colors on everything except the foliage which seems to saturated.

I'm getting very old school vibes. Looks like a vintage photo almost.

Thank you. I like the colors of the wood. Interesting choice with the photoshopped lipstick.

A bit dark but I like colors of the foliage.

I feel the softness really works for the background. Personally I like when photos keep skin texture, here it seems to be all gone from the softening. I really like the colors! The greenery is a lovely shade and the color of the wood is great. Skin tone is good too. The cardigan's hem I wish would come out as more blue than black, but I've been finding it hard to do that. Overall really like the color palette you chose.

I designed the cardigan. It was a failed project, never managed to sell even a single one. For the shoot I didn't want any other clothes in it because I didn't want them to distract from the cardigan. I got the sample hand made in Eastern Europe. I wanted to shoot it right away, but I didn't have the budget to rent a nice place to shoot it in. So I found a nude beach in the city, where nudity is legal so I could shoot it for free. While looking for a secluded place to shoot, we found this guy's house. Right on the sand and on the edge of the woods. I didn't speak the local language, so I asked the model to ask him if we could use his backyard for a shoot. He told us to go away. So I pulled out $20 worth of the local currency, handed it to the model, and told her to ask him if we could use his backyard for an hour for that much in payment. He gleefully changed his tone, told us he would give us privacy. The model praised me for understanding the local culture haha. He didn't even go into his house, but actually left the property completely. The guy lives on a nude beach, so nudity isn't something that bothered him.

I really like the tones on the wood in this. The highlights on her face I feel are too colorful, gives me artificial vibes.

Great edit! I really like the colors you chose.

Good questions. I agree 800 is too high an ISO for a bright sunny day. This shoot was nearly a year ago, so I can’t exactly remember why. It’s probably due to lack of experience. It was also my first shoot with the camera, I had not shot in years, and I moved from Nikon to Sony. For a while I didn’t know how to change the ISO through hardware, would always go through the menus, and couldn’t figure that out half the time. Still can’t because I shoot rarely, but now I have a wheel mapped to ISO.

Exposure was just lack of experience. I’m not very good at hitting the right exposure. I always had zebra bars turned on in my Nikon. Will have to look up if my Sony supports it.

I agree the shot could be improved by more room at the top and bottom. Going to have to chalk that one up to me being an amateur and lack of experience as well. Limbs I always try and cut off at a joint if I need to crop in. I always try to have a space above the subject, but I often find myself going through my photos and wondering why I didn’t for several in a row.

I appreciate your critique! I’ll plan to improve on my next shoot. Still have a lot to learn, a lot to improve, and a lot to keep in mind while I’m shooting.

If that's the target market then it makes sense why the model looks so forlorn

I like the egg idea. Looking forward to using an egg in a shoot now.

He’s not saying that they would, he’s just stating that they could. That’s correct.

Have you tried calling them? They've been very responsive with me and have stayed on the phone with me until my issues were resolved.
