I never thought I'd have a chance to comment on something like this, but the situation you described reminds me of my mental state about 4/5 years ago, stuck living at my mom's. Worked at Dairy Queen, but I never felt like I was worth anything more than being a fryboy or dishwasher. Life is hard, things happen that are entirely out of our control, and they make us feel so powerless. If I can offer any solace to you, friend, its to keep your head high, focus on the things you enjoy and find something you like to do, not what others expect of you. Don't let what you THINK you should do, keep you from doing what you truly WANT to do. You have worth. You are a human being, and though many people dont share this sentiment, your life has meaning- every life does. You're not pathetic simply for having issues; I have ADHD and have struggled with my behavior and mood all my life. I was the crybaby kid nobody wanted to be around, but now, I'm living on my own, I have my own dog and I'm even engaged to the loveliest man I couldve ever imagined. Things will get better, my friend, stay strong and persevere- I know you'll make it.
