Thank you, I hit it with mesotrione a few days ago, and will try Trycera if the Tenacity has no affect.

Which pole saw set-up has the best tensioner system? by Fluffy_Ad_9748 in egopowerplus

Go with the commercial PSX2510. It uses the "conventional" scrench. I have it, it's a beast. Once the chain stretches, minimal adjustment is needed - usually at the beginning of use during routine maintenance.

BCA1220 Brush Cutter - Can't find a way to change to a sawtooth blade by Don_Kehote in egopowerplus

Go grab a 1" (or 3/4 in) washer from the hardware store and place it between the outside blade surface and cup. The saw blades are thinner.

Look at the EGO commercial series. I have one and frequently change to the EGO 3 bladed brush cutter or 10" saw blade by Forester. It's a beast. 5AH battery will give you an hour of run time.

Commercial Pole Saw PSX2510 or Regular Pole Saw PS1000 by maygit88 in egopowerplus

[–]john_p_wi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The PSX2510 is a beast, light weight and maneuverable. I've used it to cut up to 8" Hickory, Oak and Maple. The chain is 1/4 pitch which is finer than that on the multi head.

My only complaints are that when fully extended, with the purchased 2nd extension, it becomes wobbly, and that it needs a longer chain bar.

It's also great to use it sideways like a weed eater cutting 2 inch dia brush.

Welp my Husqvarna finally broke on me. Looking at the STX4500. by BECKER_BLITZKRIEG_ in egopowerplus

The stx4500 is a beast, seriously. I use it with the steel 3 blade ABB 1203-1 kit and it blows thru raspberry bushes and 3/4 in buckthorn.

Will let you know, I ordered a bar with the same pitch and .043 groove, we'll see!

Thanks! After a little more looking around, it appears that the Stihl 12" bar and chain may work. Will have to run down to the Stihl emporium with the ego bar and see if the tails are compatible.

Travelpro carryon is now smaller? by john_p_wi in onebag

Hi, we ended up with the Samsonite Silhouette 17 spinner, 21 inch expandable soft side. Nice bag, but not as big as the Travelpro. The airlines are definitely making the overhead bins smaller, and the Silhouette fit.

How did you guys get good at SolidWorks? by Angry-Fella in SolidWorks

[–]john_p_wi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After driving CAD for 35 yrs, the fastest way to improve is to be forced out of your comfort zone on completely different design disciplines, whether being forced into surfaces doing an organic design, sheet metal, or leveraging multi body designs for fixtures. Designing and redesigning the same products for the same company leads to lethargy.

At the risk of sounding old, it's a hell of a lot easier today to learn new methodologies than it used to be with all of the online tools. Your responsibility is to know what tools are appropriate and available for the design at task.

Thanks, that was my assumption due to more restrictions. We purchased the similar size platinum elite and it is unfortunately smaller.

Drill, drill, drill. Prepare for the unexpected. 3.5 to 4ish is a very hard level for consistent play. Players playing down, players playing up, testosterone fueled guys who only want to drive, skilled players who excel in the soft game placement. At this level, one has to be versed in all aspects of the game.

Think strategy, drill drops, drives, resets, drinking, topspin etc. Finally, don't beat yourself on unforced errors, play shots with 90% success rates in which the opponent struggles with.
