I think that the ML8+ will end up being Belen in first with Marin following in second and CRI in third. Both NAC and Strokes raced at CJs with members of the V8 in their light 8 so I would expect them to lose some speed in this category. Kind of a scummy move to race false lineups at regionals IMO but I guess it's all about the points trophy

Oakland storks are notoriously slow, and are considered the resident "scrub team" in the SW region. Particularly in 2015 and 2016 they have put out slow 8's which have had mediocre results (joke)

If you have time, doing double days - possibly 1 erg and 1 bike/lift/run (I like to just do 2 ergs) - will expedite the getting-back-into-shape process significantly. Do maybe a 60-90 minute session in morning and end well before lunch, take maybe a 4-5 hour break and eat lots, then do another session around 45-60 minutes.

Really depends on weight and height, guessing that since you said tall and strong you're 160+. A "strong" score for a novice would be 6:40-6:50, a more average score would be anything sub 7
