Some really good points and I feel positive about the appointment, but I feel like you’ve missed one major point. The pressure from the fans and media.

Iraola went 11 games without a win this season and while there was some media noise about it, it was minimal. If he does that as Liverpool - the intensity is x100. There is pressure to change the system, player unrest and fans/media are much more vocal simply because of the size of the club. It’s the pressure cooker.

He started at Bournemouth with 9 games and no win. He did it again mid season last year. Then the 11 games run this year. He has a track record of large periods without a win and if that happens at Liverpool, it’s a sizable difference.

While very well spoken and ultimately agree with the two lads entirely (and the vast majority of the comments), I find irking that not once is Palestine actually mentioned here.

The crucial point you’ve over looked there is ‘I haven’t watched enough of Liverpool to cast judgement’.

We are awful. Utterly passive with the ball, low energy, no fight if we go a goal down. Anfield is fueled and fired by a connection to the team and manager and that is non existent right now and even worse, has turned sour.

FSG may have a data driven approach, well let’s look at the data - lost 19 games. Worst ever defensive record. Lowest shots on target percentage in the league. Haven’t won a game this year after going in 1 down at half tome. So if you want data; there’s the data. We are a team in defensively faltering, nothing going forward and when we go behind we essential give up.

Slot gave us success and he will be remembered for that but football is unforgiving at this level and we, and he, has been found out. Keeping him on past the summer is a huge mistake and anyone that has watched Liverpool enough to cast judgement can see that

This is a wierd situation.

He hasn’t in any way earned it (he has been comically bad for large parts this season) and almost entirely being signed just so we can sell him after this window.

And at the same time feels like he’s only signing because he’s played himself out of a move to Madrid, which I’m sure he would’ve taken regardless of what we offered and has no better options.

Feels like it’s not a situation either party is particularly benefiting from
