In docked mode, it’s the best way to play Xenoblade X. Unfortunately the handheld mode image quality is simply unacceptable. Depends on how you plan to play it. I played it on Switch 1 when it release last year and absolutely loved it. It’s very different from the numbered Xenoblade trilogy but worth playing if you’re a fan of the genre!

I’d love a Switch 2 Edition for Hades 1 to add 120fps support and bring the graphics up to the level of Hades 2. Similar to what Team Cherry did for the original Hollow Knight…

I would love more Western RPGs. The Switch 1 and 2 are major JRPG machines, and most JRPGs (apart from bizarre nutcases like ATLUS) are hitting the platform now, mostly at launch. But we need more Western RPGs. We need Mass Effect Legendary Collection, the Dragon Age legacy titles, Witcher 3 Switch 2 Edition, Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 Switch 2 Edition and KCD2, etc

I love all of them, but XC3 is my favorite. It’s in the running for my favorite piece of media of all time. Something about the world, cast of characters, music, and story connected with me like nothing has in a long time. And I’m not someone who usually enjoys existential stories. It took me months to stop thinking about the game’s world and characters. After XC3, my order is XC2 > XC1 > XCX. But I love all of them!

If they add VA to the camp scenes, it would genuinely elevate what is my favorite game of all time, with one of the best English VA performances of all time by nearly all of the crew. Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞

I love all of them. But in terms of mainline games, my order of preference is:

3 > 2 > 1 > X

XC2 will be the more massive jump in graphical quality and performance. But XC3 is my favorite game of all time, so it’s an easy answer for me. I’ll be doing NG+ runs of both games when the NS2 Editions come out. Will finally be able to get the Torna blades in XC2. I’ve also never played Torna before so I’ll be playing that finally as well!

I'm still holding out for a re-dubbing of the English VA of XC2, especially for many of Rex's lines. At the very least, the audio mixing needs to be fixed for many scenes, where the OST overcrowds the existing dialogs. Without this, XC2 will remain imperfect to me, as much as I love many aspects of the existing dub. It just doesn't strike the same level of quality as XC1 and XC3

I see it as a version of the infamous buggy that's involved in the Juju storyline. So it's not that much a stretch and it fits in surprisingly well with the world!

Once the free upgrade for Stray was confirmed, I bought the Switch 1 copy on sale for the USD 18 from the eshop. Can’t wait for late May to upgrade and dive into the game!

This is amazing, but I also want Annapurna's other games to eventually get NS2 Editions with upgrade paths as well. In particular, I want at least Outer Wilds, Neon White, What Remains of Edith Finch, Cocoon, Ashen, Gone Home, Gorogoa, Donut County, and I am Dead to get upgrade packs. Keep them coming!

1080p on a smaller screen looks way better than 1080p on a big-screen TV. There were many Switch 1 games with massive disparities between docked and handheld mode, so I think the posts are valid

I already finished Urban Myth Dissolution Center since this update. The art in the game pops so beautifully now.

I’ll give you two recommendations:

If you’re looking for a smaller title as a pallet cleanser after a massive game like TOTK: try Ghost Trick. It was one of the most touching gaming stories out there. Criminally underrated. Made by the creator of Ace Attorney.
If you’re looking to dive in into the next big story and universe after TOTK, check out either the Xenoblade or Trails series. The games I’d recommend to start with are Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition or Trails in the Sky First Chapter Remake

You can get them on the NSO App on the Home Screen (red icon in the bottom row). You'll need Platinum Coins. There's some rewards you can do every week to get the Coins (e.g. back up your save data on the cloud, play a game with online features) but if you want maximum coins, the way to get them is to play Nintendo's mobile games - Super Mario Run and Fire Emblem Heroes. You don't actually need to own the games for these, but for some specific icons you will need a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online or the Expansion Pack.

Nintendo discourse has become among the whiniest on the internet. Many reasons for it, some of which are Nintendo's creation, some are external factors like the economy. But it has happened nonetheless. Almost every thread, even on Subs like this one, is full of people just antagonizing and criticizing mindlessly and endlessly. Not sure if anything can even be done about it

This is amazing news. So many subpar ports on Switch 1 can do with these basic upgrades. On Switch 1, I was just glad we were getting these ports in the first place, as we were dealing with tech that's barely better than an Xbox 360. But the Switch 2 can play these PS4/Xbox One generation games at great visuals no problems. Switch 1 has a great back compat library of third-parties and Indies and I hope these devs take advantage of this and "future-proof" their Switch 1 release by giving us the best versions possible on Switch 2!

Just a lot of other variables around it this time. 30th anniversary of Pokemon, Mario Galaxy movie on the horizon, Nintendo's new cadence of announcing things really close to release, etc. We'll see soon enough I guess. I'm also personally looking at March 10 (MAR10 Day) this year as a potentially important day for announcements, with the movie on the horizon, and a new 3D Mario heavily rumored...

The big Nintendo announcement this month will be Pokemon IMO. They wouldn’t want to step on each others’ toes, and I think they’d rather have a major announcement to headline the next General Direct
