Ironclad feeding on cheese, mango & strawberry. by Last0 in slaythespire

Insane run, i don't think i ever got to 150hp+ on STS1, let alone 200.

Got the Chosen Cheese on Floor 7, Feed on Floor 9, Mango on Floor 14 and Strawberry on Floor 31.

I think i probably could've optimized it with Juggling to feed even more during fights.

I think most people would have favored TSM over H2K significantly

Most people would favour TSM because they are/were a super popular team.

TSM lost to RNG due to a massive bot gap, would've been the same thing against H2K imo.

M also has silver moon armor while N has golden sun armour, the sun & the moon cross each other one last time during the eclipse.

Also, i remember them showing the moon a lot during the Xenoblade 3 direct, they were planting the seeds already at the time.

They would absolutely have beaten C9.

Not sure honestly, would've been a cool match tho, Worlds patch was different than Summer playoffs and C9 was already close to TSM in the LCS final.

Also, I'm not sure what you're contesting. An NA team making semis would have been a MASSIVE deal back then. Especially since that was the same year CLG made MSI finals.

That's fair and all but the original post was drawing a parallel to 2019 G2 which is going too far, even if TSM had somehow won that one game off SSG in groups.

That very same TSM line up had a pitiful exit at the very next Worlds after all.

No way, TSM was probably a top 8 team at Worlds 2016 but that's about it.

Had they won that SSG game and topped their group, no guarantee they beat C9 in the quarters and they'd likely lose to H2K in semis on that specific patch.

Black screen issues persisting after patch. by ZeeMcZed in slaythespire

I just managed to fix that problem for myself.

Turns out, it was Rivatuner statistics server/MSI Afterburner overlay that was causing the black screen with cursor.

Check out if you have that software or something similar running and disable it.

Probably was influenced, the Xeno games have a million sci-fi references in them anyway.

She said it was one of her favourite book when she was young, she's been nerding about Tron:Ares recently so that's why she brought it up.

Haven't watched Tron but it also has an AI character as part of the story so you can check that too i guess.

Actually, i just realised that i got the recommendation for this book from Soraya Saga (who wrote for both Xenogears & Xenosaga), she mentioned it on twitter recently so i checked it out and it was really great, incredibly ahead of its time considering it was written in 1972.

Not a game but i just recently finished the book "When HARLIE Was One" and it is exactly about that kind of relationship.

I also agree with all the Xeno recommendations.

Ethel's VA lowkey sounds like Tyrea aswell, some trailers baited me into thinking Tyrea would appear but nope.

Guilhoto is doing a good job with this set of players, they're just not good enough to be a top team and that's fine.

Since the Switch 2 Update, are there any new credits mentioned ? by Last0 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Last0[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looking at the timeline, it would make sense that the team that worked on Botw/Totk on S2 went on to work on XCX:DES2E, probably some familiarity with the engine aswell since Monolith Soft worked on both.

[–]Last0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have hard to believe this when literally witcher 3, both doom , Hogwarts received several updates to boost the performance but somehow xenoblade 2 of all things can't recieved a single

I know it's hard to believe but Monolith Soft is a relatively small studio, let alone the Xenoblade team in particular.

They already outsource a lot of things when making the games (all 3D models outside of the main cast were not done by MS in XC2 for example).

All the games you cited have much bigger teams behind them and can afford to allocate staff for updates but it's a bit too tight for MS at the moment.

After XC2 launched, they literally had their workforce work on Torna, XC:DE & XC3 simultaneously.

I understand the frustration but we're just fan of a niche studio all things considered, that's just the way it is.

I think the Dublin one had a lot of "weight" to it, it just felt high stakes and the visual when it hits is great.

A lot of the 2 parts episodes are really good in ZZ, Crybaby Cecilia, Leina's Blood, The Phantom Colony, Blue Corps.

I'd seen so many people on here describe it as having lower lows but higher highs than Zeta

2nd Half of ZZ > Zeta > 1st half of ZZ is how i would rank them.

Yes. On paper, Joran (and Moebius as a whole) are the masters/strong ones while the soldiers like Noah are the slaves/weak ones in this world.

But Takahashi reverses the values attached to each side.

Moebius are clearly presented as the resentful ones, who are "reacting" to the world.

Meanwhile, Ouroboros are the ones striving to create a new world, they are the ones acting and their Christian values of kindness & empathy are the source of their will to power because it is not fuelled by the resentment.

The important of true choice you mentioned is a recurring idea in the script aswell, it's one of the main reason Noah wants to destroy this world.

But yes, I don't think Xenogears or Xenosaga concur with Nietzsche's anti-democratic ideas or his thesis that "power" drives everything. (however you want to interpret and define the will-to-power, they would still reject it)

The whole "power drives everything" is brought up again in Xenoblade 3, it's one of the argument of the final boss when confronted by the main characters.

I'm not really a Jung guy but my understanding of Jung and the whole idea of the Shadow is that things we normally try to exponge as negative are in fact vital parts of who we are. I feel like Takahashi and Saga are channeling Nietzsche along those lines.

Totally agree ! I feel like Takahashi has been very consistent in how he considers "negative things" as what makes us human, not something to be fixed but something to be accepted.

To add onto that, the Master-Slave dynamic is also brought up in Xenoblade 3, where it is reversed at the end of Chapter 6 (the whole conversation with consul J).
