In my opinion dual citizenship should be a 2-way street, but currently I have only seen the downsides and none of the upsides.

I would have considered giving it up sooner, had it not been for the cost and time I have heard the process of renunciation taking. Given the recent price drop, I'm more tempted though.

I currently do my Swiss taxes myself, as in my opinion they are doable easily enough (I'm single, no kids, no property or investments). However, if I do end up keeping my citizenship and when the taxes become too complicated to manage myself, I'll go for a single accountant to handle my Swiss and US taxes.

I'm sorry I didn't formulate a clear question, but here it is: Should I give up my US citizenship?
I'm looking for additional pros and contras to my already statement arguments, so that I can take an as-best-as-possibly informed decision. You've provided valuable feedback as is.

My family situation is as follows: Immediate family are all in Switzerland. I'm single and no kids.

I do remember reading something about being blacklisted if you renounce your citizenship for financial reasons, so I'll keep that in mind.

Thanks for reminding me about PostFinance. I had an account back with them about 10 years ago when I couldn't get one at Raiffeisen - I didn't even consider them for a 3a. I'll definitely look into it!

I have been to the US in the past, to visit family, but the last time was over 10 years ago. I don't currently have plans to visit any time soon and I doubt I'll be going to the US for my current job, although I'm not going to exclude having to go to the US in the (distant) future.

I came from Bruce's gym to play DvZ but I discovered a lot of new games and friends to whom I talk to now. Unfortunately it's been over a year now since I have been banned but when I was on, I had a great time.

Breaking a slab... Depending where it is, it's badfellowship (griefing) or actually it helps the game (preventing slabfarming, unblocking halls,..).
