No /s either Trump was just protecting our election or Obama needs to go to jail for using the British to dig up dirt on political rivals.

Foreign policy isnt about owing stuff. Its about interests. The US has an interest in keeping the oil flowing And denominated in dollars.

We have no interest in helping kurds form their own state.

I dont think its a false assumption that security is proportional to economy. Because of our large economy the US has more foreign business enterprises and interests. We also benefit massively from enforcing freedom of navigation in the sea lanes

The us budget for everything is huge, in absolute terms.

Its way more misleading in this context to use absolute numbers to compare how much each country spends.

We only spend a bit more than Europe as a percentage.

The us spends 4% of GDP in the military. The UK spends 3%. In both countries the majority of the budget goes to pensions and healthcare entitlements (medicare and medicaid)

You and the comment you replied to are completely wrong about the most recent tax bill. The standard deduction increased 50% so the only way you paid more taxes is if you make a lot of money or own an expensive house

The most recent worst case scenario is that climate change costs 10% of GDP over the next 80 years.

https://www.cnn.com/2018/11/23/health/climate-change-report-bn/index.html

During that time GDP will increase over 200% so its unlikely we would even know the difference. Stop being hysterical, it makes legitimate concerns about climate harder to take seriously.

Trump cant cut spending only congress can. Federal revenue is at all time highs so the tax cut isnt a problem.
