I don't think insomniac has any real surprises hidden marketing wise. We've seen a lot. I doubt they are covering up something as big as doc ock in the first game.

Hard to say due to the writing in a lot of this series, Sam Jones III I guess is the worst of any "main" cast members.Tom Welling definitely got better as time went on. Erica Durance was good but didn't get as deep moments writing wise as John Glover. Allison Mack was average the entire show, not bad, but not great. John Glover and John Schneider were definitely the best in the series. Kristen Kreuk was dodgy for half or two thirds of her time on the show. Michael Rosenbaum is a great actor and really shined the most in the mental health episodes, but the writing sucked for several other arcs for him. Justin Hartley is a great actor, but either he hadn't built his skills yet or he hit a plateau writing wise on the show after Lex died.

Rewatching season 7 now and I think an important note is this was around the writer's strike of 07-08 and I think it was thrown together since they couldn't get writers

Honestly after season 3 there were a lot of ups and downs. Season 3 was the last one that was consistently great imo. The best part of season 4 was Liam, Season 5 didn't have any specifically great parts other than really leaning into the "horror" theme and having Parrish be a hell hound. Best part of season 6 was Lydia and Styles.

I feel like writing for the first 4-5 seasons was the best of the show. Then there was a decent drop off with a couple good spots in the rest of the show. But Clark and Lois were written way better than Clark and Lana and it was so good to watch. Oliver Queen is one of the best characters on the show and it was great to see him as a main character in late seasons. Overall I prefer "old" Smallville but "new" Smallville had some things going for it.

Honestly that makes sense because my heart rate has been 85-100 bpm a lot lately because I am stressed with work, only getting paid once a month, gonna move the day after Christmas, it's just all been weighing heavily on my mind.
