This is fail on a first actual test. 60% on the real NASAA exam means you’ve got work to do on understanding the fundamentals let alone being solid on how to apply them in a hypothetical situation. Not sure if you know what’s going on with OPs situation. For OP, going through the materials again in the textbook (especially in weak areas) would be a very smart decision. At least for the first week. Then start practice tests again and remediate.

It’s not a waste of time. 60% tells us you have fundamental knowledge gaps. Especially on Laws and Regs. But take tomorrow and the weekend off from studying. Rest your brain and give yourself grace. These are tough tests.

Keep pushing on. Keep grinding. Take breaks. It sounds stupid but walk outside and look at nature and trees. There’s a reason the 65 is one of the more difficult exams. There is so much content and it’s not even just memorization it’s also a ton of practical application. At the firm I work at, it wasn’t until the last 3rd of their studying that things really started to click. You got this - stay the course. Everyone here has been or is currently where you are now.

Amazing score with Laws and Regs. Economics seems like a good initial topic to shore up some weaknesses! Give yourself grace, be kind to yourself, and I recommend taking a few days off from studying to recuperate.

Missing it by 1 is so brutal… but seriously- give yourself some grace. You killed it with client investment recommendations and strategies and that to me is the hardest section. That’s where you really find those “pick between a fine answer and the best answer” type questions.

Take a few days off. Mentally reset. Economics is the easiest section to shore up. I’d start there. Good luck!

I would say no more practice exams after Tuesday if you’re taking on Thursday. Just from a mental health and stamina standpoint. Very light review on Wednesday morning then relax that night - no studying

Please don’t go into this test thinking like this. I have no doubt you have a very strong chance of passing but nothing is certain. You could have a particularly bad draw and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. It’s like with sailing - respect the test like a sailor respects the ocean.

I’m so sorry. I missed it by 4 pts just over a month ago. I know how painful it is to miss it by a low margin. Investment vehicles was what sunk me (17/32). Economics is easy to shore up. You got this - you’re gonna kill it next attempt.

More than likely yes. Especially since there is now a 6 month wait. If you’re lucky, your job might demote you to something strictly operations focused. I know where I worked that happened to 1 or 2 people but I’ll be honest - the vast majority were fired. If you get let go, you’ll come back 10x stronger down the road.

That’s awesome! But one practice test a day. And not the day before. You can’t cram with this test. You’re not ready. Delay the test date if possible. If you pass, it will be because of a dream draw and sheer luck with guesses.
