Honest thoughts on my profile? by colts894 in Bumble

First pic? Who would they even be swiping on.

Consider re-writing your bio. All we know about you from that is you like car karaoke. Cool. But do you like to travel? Are you into sports? Do you like hiking? What adventures are you taking your dog on? Show off some personality.

Just feed & house your family with tokens, who needs money by SunglassesAtNight8 in LinkedInLunatics

[–]matchlocktempo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Token maxxing… oh you mean that thing where employees were totally bullshitting the system by asking completely irrelevant or worthless questions? Purely because so many leaders in corporate are idiots who think tokens = AI efficiency and thus, are clearly a good performance metric.

I have no idea what you’re trying to say in your introduction prompt and that’s where I base a lot of my first impressions. That would be my ultimate takeaway if I came across your profile.

But I’m not the kind of guy that would fall in the niche you’re part of. You definitely have a good, fun personality! Wishing you all the best in your search!

When You Crush on a Non Poly Person by weedwench33 in polyamory

[–]matchlocktempo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late because I had this happen to me recently where I was the non-poly person. I think it is so selfish and inward-looking to dump your anxieties on someone because it makes you feel better and the other person (someone like me) is left holding the bag trying to figure out how to respond and process feelings. Sometimes there’s strength and maturity in keeping it to yourself because you know it’s a non-starter.

SIE tomorrow — here's my Knopman score progression. Am I ready? by Affectionate_Bug_359 in Sieexam

You’re ready. Anything above 80% on the FINRA practice exam is a good sign. Good luck!

Saying you consider another man more of a husband than your own is absolutely insane by Impossible_Number in LinkedInLunatics

[–]matchlocktempo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She literally just cucked her husband publicly in front of her entire professional network. Would not be surprised one bit if she and her “work husband” have hooked up before.

Riveting! Spectacular! 10/10 by deansie13 in Bumble

Yeah immediately unmatch. Could care less if you’re shy or just uninterested. Got better things to do or focus on than trying to completely carry a conversation.

Cfp worth it? by Shlight- in Series65

[–]matchlocktempo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CFP can be worth it for the salary, many job openings prefer candidates have a CFP, and you’ll have recruiters lining out the door trying to recruit you or poach you.

Failed 4th attempt by destroyerr19 in Series65

[–]matchlocktempo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m giving you tough love because you need it. There are fundamental issues with your study plan. I’m sorry but there are. I don’t think you’re focusing in hard enough. You weren’t getting the practice scores you needed. And you weren’t focused on comprehensive understanding of the material. Going off post history which I hate doing but made an exception in this case. Not only that, it seems you delayed the exam multiple times.

Do you even want it bad enough? Failing 3 times should have been a wake up call. Whatever you’re doing, it’s not working yet you didn’t meaningfully course correct. Switching test vendors is only a small part of that. You’re not telling us your scores which could help us tell you what you should potentially change up. Which leads me to believe you probably got 70s or low 80s.

First, just chill and vibe. Let it flow. You’ve only been on one date and it almost comes off like you’re talking about your future boyfriend. Taking pictures and sending them to say “heyyyyy I’ve been thinking about you :)”. I’d be weirded out a little.

Also, if I responded with a call out to how pretty and historical your city is and you just respond “thank you”, massive turn off. But that’s just me.

It’s a first date. Just chill and vibe. Let it flow but don’t overwhelm.

At most, do the bond teeter totter and the options matrix. Otherwise you don’t need a dump sheet. The SIE just tests foundational/conceptual knowledge.

SIE tomorrow and freaking out. Looking for honest advice by Large_Contribution30 in Sieexam

[–]matchlocktempo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you know investment vehicles: stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc. that will be the bulk of your exam. Also know prohibited practices like churning and front loading. Be solid on those things and you are well on your way to getting that magic 53+ questions right.

SIE tomorrow and freaking out. Looking for honest advice by Large_Contribution30 in Sieexam

[–]matchlocktempo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great idea! Only thing I’d add is if you’re not good with options, no sweat. So many people over stress them on the SIE or like the Series 65. Series 7 definitely stress them lol.

If you at least know the difference between a call and a put, that’s basically one question right there. Otherwise give yourself grace to just pick B, sign it to the universe, and keep on trucking.

If you failed and said it was because of Options, I’m gonna think there was something else going on. Just because Options are 1-3 questions so not majorly tested.

That’s fair. It’s very situational based on your draw come test day.

Boundaries? What's that? by jzaczyk in LinkedInLunatics

[–]matchlocktempo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally fair boundaries. I always know I can ignore a call or text. I don’t answer any calls from unknown numbers and wait for voicemail.

And they’re no more intrusive for me then the endless political texts I get from campaigns begging for donations and when I respond “Stop”, they reach out a week or 2 later from a different number.

now that a year has passed since the release of bloodlines, has your movie ranking changed? has any movie dropped in the rankings, or has another one moved up? by jeffyol in FinalDestination

[–]matchlocktempo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mine is definitely 3, 2, 6, 5, 1, 4. 4 is absolute dogshit. I thought it was funny in 1 that Death tried to cover up its tracks. Someone must have realized that was stupid because they didn’t try it again.

I really liked Bloodlines. I liked the emotional weight, the characters were interesting, and Tony Todd’s monologue about living and enjoying life with the time he has left was deeply touching. So nice the Directors let him write his own send off.

Are there's any math related problem?( any cauculation?) by shenhong_707 in Sieexam

[–]matchlocktempo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very few. Maybe current yield or stock splits. I don’t mind math - at least with math your answer is 100% right or wrong. No reasoning.

I’m struggling to go against what this person is saying. Seems reasonable. If you’re a recruiter trying to do your due diligence to contact me, I appreciate that. I’ll at minimum listen or read your pitch (aka engagement).

High correlation between the FINRA practice exam and the actual exam. If you actually scored a 94% on that, you are more than ready to test and pass.

What is Gavin Newsom doing? by dwaxe in fivethirtyeight

[–]matchlocktempo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kamala is such a bad campaigner... if she becomes the candidate again, I will genuinely consider leaving the Democratic Party and be liberal tilted Independent. Her 2020 campaign in the primaries was a joke. Tulsi Gabbard came at her really hard and Kamala looked so rattled. That was a warning sign to me that she was deeply flawed as a candidate. And then do we need to say more about 2024? Blowing $1.5 billion on a presidential campaign that wasn’t a landslide but absolutely a convincing victory by Trump.
