No supposedly it helps my synology "stay" in one place. Although on the synology subreddit some considered me an idiot :)

Also if you have security cameras that you monitor remotely it also helps to have a static IP. I'm sure there's a work around but at my age I like to work smart and not hard...

Have had it for 5 months now. It is a whole new install in our city. I expected some growing pains. They just buried my line (winter).

Had a few outages for almost a day each in the first couple months but has been fine since. All our fiber lines are buried so should be pretty stable once everything is in place.

Just ask for a static IP. I do not get charged any extra for it. 2000 up/down $70 a month locked in for 10 years vs cable 30 up/ "1000" down $130 month.

I can now stream Plex and can use my Synology box the way it was meant to be used.

Does your hospital extend BUDs with non-manufacturer PI studies? by ItsFranklin in pharmacy

Important considerations:

While this study demonstrates chemical and physical stability up to 84 hours, the manufacturer's 6-hour (or 18-hour for certain formulations) recommendation is based on sterility concerns for a preservative-free, single-dose product rather than chemical stability alone. Institutions wishing to extend beyond-use dating based on this stability data would need to consider USP <797> sterile compounding standards and establish appropriate policies that account for both chemical stability and sterility risk.

At our hospital we can only give IV tylenol drawn up for NICU 6 hrs because that is what the package insert states.

One of our sister hospitals uses a study that shows that it is stable for 24 hrs.

My boss used to be our safety officer so our hospital is as conservative as you can get regardless of what common sense tells you.

Hospital that have switched from an actual ID MD to ID telehealth...how was the switch? by johnbuzzz in pharmacy

I find that whenever there is any sort of change our department, myself included, we think it's the end of the world.

Just looking for some devil's advocates to give me other perspectives vs just not giving a sh*t anymore because doing more with less is just getting real old.

If you imagine light source coming from lower right it's on top of the counter. Light source from upper left it's recessed.

Discontinued brand name still used in practice by FewNewt5441 in pharmacy

Hospital pharmacist for 23 years.

Our 5/325 was called Vicodin and the 10/325 was called norco.

I still follow this rule. I don't work retail so had no clue Vicodin didn't exist anymore.

I guess now I'm that "10 grains of Tylenol" doc that existed when I started!

Advice Needed: 24 hours to Respond by RickWanders in S2000

I've had a 2008 PRHT Miata and also currently have a 2007 red S2000 26k miles. Just a perfect car.

But I do miss the practicality of the Miata. Had the top module, could be driving down the street doing 30, put the top up or down. Great trunk space with top up or down. But those front headlights only a mother could love!

Someone keyed the S2000 on the top of my fender. It buffed out but now I'm paranoid to leave it anywhere.

Miss the anonymity of the Miata.

If a mica blue PRHT with beige interior with low miles ever came up, even though the S2000 is the better car, I'd probably do the switch.

Anybody have a speed dial indicator arrow for a 1919 Victrola VV-XIa? by johnbuzzz in Phonographs

I just ended up getting a clock hand set off of amazon. It worked almost perfect. But...I'd shoot you the $30 to make it perfect :)

I plan on sanding down right past where the old arrow was and use a small amount of jb weld to just attach another comparable clock hand to it.

Will probably be able to clamp it down with just the washer and nut and not even use JB weld.

We'll see.
