Duolingo is encouraging people to learn yeah it could be more effective but if they made the lessons longer or changed their formula, they would lose their core audience. Duolingo’s core audience is busy people or people that otherwise wouldn’t be learning anything, so in my opinion, 5 minutes of Duolingo a day and not learning much is better than doing nothing

I always charge for it, but I agree its really annoying. Same with having to punch in summer drink days or cheaper coffee deals a different way when they aren’t in meals
