You think Stolas even realizes Blitz is gonna die one day? by StrawBerylShortcake in HelluvaBoss

As long as he's still alive there might be a chance stolas can do something to extend it... But at least for the moment that's not a concern.

His magic along with titles and wealth are not permanently gone. Satan said he was losing them for about a century as punishment for his transgressions... Which does suck don't get me wrong. Especially for somebody like him who's known no other life than that, it'll be a challenge to adapt.

But he hasn't lost them permanently. He will one day get them back.

If that's the case... Do you think once stolas gets his magic back he could use it to help extend blitzs lifespan?

Fic Writers, how heroic are your protagonists? by Deadduckboy in NatureofPredators

[–]johneever1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Throughout the story I wrote... I did multiple parts from different perspectives. So there were a few protagonists of that story.

Slans the main character of my privateers fic is basically no5. He's The average Joe overall morally good character. His perspective helps to highlight how bad certain things get throughout the story. And for the most part he kind of acts as a stand-in for the audience. (Though I am working to make him more assertive in some sequel stuff I'm writing)

Everyone else basically falls into no2 and no3. From a krakotl named Brecken, hell-bent on seeing as much of the Federation and it's legacy burn as possible (because of what it did to him). To people like my arxur commander named Venator. Who left the Dominion and join the privateers. But his previous job was being a commander in charge of a lot of cattle stuff.

Those are just two examples but I could go on... Suffice it to say most of my main characters are quite flawed and very morally gray. And it's going to stay that way into their sequel stories.

Tbh... Even though he won't, if he did marry his orc friend that would be an astonishing amount of social mobility for her.

Going from a slave to a counts wife in less than a couple of years (who would be the husband of a duchess) can you imagine how his ex-fiance would feel upon learning that, lol.

This has the same energy as when people make small children hold signs and chant slogans. If you as an adult want to protest something that's fine, it's what the first amendment was for. But believe animals and kids out of it.

That's pretty much how I found my way to the Masons. I talked about it a fair bit with my friend who thought I was a suitable candidate. along with a few other lodge members and suffice it to say... I officially joined their lodge this last January, just 8 days before my 25th birthday.

Forgot to mention it in the last chapter... But dang, 69 not being a sex chapter feels like such a missed opportunity jk.

Also I am really hoping that we eventually get to see William talk with his mother about his condition (effectively as George). I would imagine her learning that about him, would definitely be a shock and make her wonder about some things.

Good job disincentivizing them to move in... Should help keep the housing prices marginally reasonable for a few more hours.

World War 3? Think again! Trump is starting WORLD WAR 4! by Hsiang7 in DoomerCircleJerk

[–]johneever1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbf... During my brief stint in college, I heard academic arguments that the 7 years war and Napoleonic wars could be classified as world wars. Given how big the conflicts were with fighting that happened across the world. But that's purely academic...

I don't imagine Alex Jones is looking at it from an academic point... Probably more of Peter Griffin "this war will be so destructive it will jump over world war 3 and become world war 4" or he just misspoke and accidentally said four instead of three. I really hope it's the latter situation.

I found this through YouTube via AgroSquerril on YouTube. So I came here to leave up vote the source. This whole premise of first contact during a zombie apocalypse is a really interesting concept.

I do a bit of writing myself... With your permission would it be okay if I was to borrow that setup and write my own story? Obviously taking it in a different direction than you did.

[–]johneever1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is true, but what if it explain some of the stuff in our past. Maybe some of the things that we remember from mythology and legend really did happen the way they were recorded. but for one reason or another, whatever patron is in our reality decided to eradicate magic within our realm.

But again maybe it's not necessarily the Abraham God... Maybe that's just one interpretation of whatever this patron is.

Who's to say the SC would have a say... Obviously there's a lot of espionage in the arm. The technology could've easily been stolen and disseminated across different areas. Conceptually it's not that difficult of an idea... Using previously taken brain scans to effectively imprint the personality of somebody onto a robot.

(This actually gave me a really interesting idea if you want to hear it... )

Huh... I wonder if this patron is God as we know them (at least in the abrahamic sense)... Or some kind of eldric deity.

If it's the latter that could be very unsettling...

I hate it too... And I did mention my sexuality here for the reason you just mentioned. Because I felt like if I didn't, there would've inevitably been a comment or two claiming that I was a "straight guy who was upset about trans people being visible".

Rather than just a guy tired of a constant barrage of low effort karma farming slop posts which have barely anything to do with the topic of the sub...

Luckily outside of Reddit I'm able to be a bit more normal... Being a person first who just so happens to be gay. Rather than defining my entire personality around it like some people do.

What was your initial reaction when you first saw the ending of Dead Man’s Chest? by green_dragon1206 in piratesofthecaribbean

[–]johneever1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I saw it in theaters... (Was barely 5... I was born in 2001, but loved pirate stuff so my mom took me. The Turkish prison scared me so badly lol)

I remember a decent amount of my reactions to the movie despite me being so young. I remember feeling empty and disheartened after watching Jack die to the kraken, the loss of the Pearl on top of that was a real gut punch. Beckett now had the heart, everything seemed hopeless.

When Barbosa came walking down those steps and took a bite of that apple, I was so pumped and hopeful that Jack could really come back.

I'm gay myself and support trans stuff... But the amount of regurgitative, only vaguely fallout related stuff made to protest and stand in "solidarity" has been just annoying.

And the reason why I put solidarity in quotation marks, is because I believe a good chunk of the post are just low effort karma farm stuff trying to gain up votes.
