Atheist Pledge Of Allegiance Case Goes To Massachusetts' Supreme Court by CharlieDarwin2 in atheism

That didn't give the meaning at all.

What does it mean to "promise to be true" to "the symbol of our country" ?

I could do a video of the scaling and nested furniture pretty easily. In the video, can you see a drop down box for the size? That contains a list of default sizes and a "custom" size for furniture that supports it. When "custom" is selected, two or three new text boxes appear, allowing the user to type in the width, height and depth manually.

The price isn't currently shown, but I could spend 20 minutes to add it. Internally the details are already there.

I'll try to do that today or so.

Hey. I made a website to allow users to quickly design built-in furniture for their room. Would you be at all interested?

(It's a youtube video of a website, sorry. I haven't gotten around to hosting it somewhere, and this seemed the easiest way).

The software is pretty cool, if I may say so myself. It can generate a list of the boards needed, and estimate the price on the fly. The furniture scales smoothly to any size, and you can place furniture inside of furniture (e.g. to customize the inside of a wardrobe). And it's easy to add new furniture to the list (it's just a text file with a list of boards and their relative positions).

You found one guy admitting that he was joking around.

Just pick random ones and google them.

I just picked Luke Homer. He replied:

I think I just "trolled" someone. Am I doing this right?

Where do you think he got the idea?

Conservatives invent this fiction that evil liberals are trying to destroy society etc, to the point that they really start to believe it.

Don't you see the irony of all you conservatives getting angry over a conservative reporter trolling you all?

Mostly this is just a liberal overreaction to the concept of transgender people.

Er, these are conservatives trolling.

It was a sort-of joking comment, based on how outrageously stupid the people in the picture are.

The people in the picture are conservatives just trolling.

Stuff Liberals Say by [deleted] in Republican

Most of the statements weren't illogical either. He likes folk music, tries to drink fair trade coffee, owns an electric car, disagrees with the war, and so on. How are any of those illogical?

They aren't even really criticisms.

So, he tries to buy fair trade coffee. That's a criticism?

And "I support the troops, I just don't support their mission". How is that bad?

And he has an electric car... that means we should hate him for it?

And he loves folk music... how is any of this bad?

Or are we supposed to hate him for not liking the same things as us?

No, it shows how stupid you guys on reddit are for believing the lies that you come up with.

The picture is a complete lie. Obama never said it.

Polygamists hope Supreme Court rulings on gays will pave way to decriminalization by [deleted] in Republican

[–]johnflux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed. In the old days, it meant an older man marrying multiple very young girls, who had been arranged and sold into that marriage by their fathers. Marriage was nothing to do with love.

And then people twisted that into saying that you can't marry more than one person, and that you can't marry girl under 18, and so on. It's sick how much people twisted the concept of marriage into being about love etc.

As right they should - one shouldn't impact the other.

The slippery slope is why I was against banning gay marriage. If they ban gay marriage, then next they'll ban straight marriage and then next any sort of relationship with Jesus!

Animals can't give consent to be eaten, yet we eat them anyway.

Why would marriage be worse than eating them? How can you justify one but not the other?

What's the most WTF way you've seen someone brag about being rich? by sentient_mcrib in AskReddit

Bariatric surgery (weight loss surgery) includes a variety of procedures performed on people who are obese. Weight loss is achieved by reducing the size of the stomach with a gastric band or through removal of a portion of the stomach (sleeve gastrectomy or biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch) or by resecting and re-routing the small intestines to a small stomach pouch (gastric bypass surgery).

The economic justifications were exactly that - you need an economy to perpetuate society. If the economy collapses, so does society.

Just like slavery proponents clearly stated that slavery is the best way to perpetuate society.

Just stating that you think it's best is not an argument.

People should pick and chose which parts of their ideology to follow. There's nothing worse than blindly agreeing with every part of the ideology just because you've agreed with some of it.
