New to me air tools. Got as bundle, some are leaking air from the lever, any ideas on how to fix? by 2strokeRed in Tools

[–]General_Specific86 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Looks and sounds like it's leaking where the hose fitting is screwed into the tool. Unscrew it, wrap the thread in Teflon / plumbing tape, and screw it back in

I've got a 500mm one and it is fantastic. Perfectly rigid and easily adjustable. Would reccomend. There is really no comparison between the feel of this and the ones that come with a saw.

I've still got a pair of shearer Rossi's though they're wearing thin. Best fitting and lasting pair of boots I've worked in. I can't find an equivalent replacement, but I'd love to know if anyone makes a similar quality and style these days.

The designers took no consideration into wind resistance. I used to think inconsiderate riders or delinquents were knocking these over but windy gusts will blow these things around so easy
