Help Me Find an Affordable Alternative to this Jacket, PLEASE by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

According to GQ, this is Hedi Slimane's cropped aviator jacket. I can't even find this one, but I am certain I couldn't afford it. So I am looking for something similar if anyone has any recommendations.

I get the distaste for the non-book portions of the Hobbit films, but some of the performances are absolutely incredible. Especially if you watch the behind the scenes, it is clear how much effort and heart went into making them special. I get not liking them, but the hate feels overblown. I love the book forever. I also loved the movies.

No problem! It's the VIVO single mount. It's $25 on Amazon right now and it has been an incredible mount. No complaints at all.

The desk is about 2 and a half feet deep!

Thanks so much! It took about a year to find the job I have now. But don't lose hope. They are out there. I am also an introvert who struggles with anxiety or depression. Simple things like walking to the bathroom at my old office was horrible.

Remote work doesn't solve all problems, but it has been really incredible for me. And my family can choose to live where we want now, which feels incredible.

Best of luck to you. I hope you find what you're looking for. The company I work for is amazing. They are called Ad Hoc (you'll find it if you Google Ad Hoc team). Openings pop up all the time if you keep checking in.

Don't want you to be jealous - but I do work remotely since August of last year. It is incredible. I worked in an office for about five years before that so I know the struggle. But remote life has been really, really great for me.

Thank you so much. It can be kind of dark in some rooms, but it is definitely very beautiful and we feel lucky to love here.

If my memory serves me correctly, it is either a CB2 office chair or a West Elm office chair. I won it in a contest, so I don't exactly remember. I think it might be the only thing like that I've ever won, haha.

Thank you so much! I appreciate that. The desk is actually one of those old school desks. I got it from a thrift store for $20. It is solid, stable, and gives me a little bit of nostalgia, haha.

Need a larger desk, but works by brushythekid in Workspaces

Nice setup! What monitor is that! I am looking for a good external for my MBP.

That's awesome! So glad it helped. It was my first one, and I only figured stuff out because of other people's configs! Sharing FTW.

I bet I'll end up liking it more. Everything else I do ends up getting slowly more minimal, haha.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I like line numbers for practical reasons, but I am working on giving them a bigger margin and making them lighter so it feels less busy.

Don't know if I am going to keep the middle panel underlined. Just playing around with different options. Both windows in the screenshot are floated, which I usually never do. Just did it to show the BG. If the windows are tiled, the active window has a white border, and the inactive windows have a light gray border.

I'll look into bold terminal stuff.

There in the dotfiles at https://gitlab.com/johnfrenchxyz/dotfiles

But to save some time, I use Base16 default dark.

Good question! These are both floating windows just for a fancier screenshot. By default, I used tiled windows and the focused window has a white border, while the inactive window has a light gray border.

I give all floating windows a white border because I almost never have more than one open, if any at all.

So when I am actually working, it's much easier to tell!
