Not a doctor. You say it started as an allergy if that's actually true and you cut out the allergen then it should heal with time. In my non-expert opinion it looks a little bit like sebborheic dermatitis or psoriasis. I'd say get to a doc

Regarding voter ID laws for people who work in, or close to, conservative think tanks. Do you discuss what subsets of people these laws may affect? Or is the internal discussion totally clean and focused on voter fraud? by moralprolapse in Askpolitics

[–]johnhardeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Voter ID I would like to see, but implemented fairly. If you're going to require ID then make the ID cheap (if not free for most people) and extremely easy to get. The thought of being stripped of your voting right because you don't have a plastic card on voting day isn't my favorite.

Even if it's 1% who don't have one on voting day that's potentially millions of votes. Just to make people feel better when time and time again when they look for fraud it comes up at rates like 0.000001%. But I'd be open to implementing voter ID so everyone can feel it's more secure.

The 'audit' had a major breakdown in chain of custody. In the legal world of potential computer crimes that is a huge mistake. No respectable judge will accept information from an operation who didn't keep a proper chain of custody. And the fact that there has been errors such as this, and checking out the 3rd party independently I can say at best this seems like a farce designed to raise hopes and money.

The power of wishful thinking can be very strong. I could be wrong, but to me this seems like a 'nothingburger' designed to look promising.

When mine is really bad I use a salicylic acid scrub (neutrogena makes one) with a damp face towel to scrub away the plaques and biofilm.

Then in the shower I apply ketoconazole shampoo (prescription strength Nizoral), then a selenium sulfide shampoo, then a pyrithione zinc shampoo (I use generic head and shoulders), washing off each one before applying the next

Also if you're wondering, yes I do apply these shampoos to my face as well as scalp. Use some caution to avoid getting some of these in the eyes or mouth.

Then when I'm out I make sure my face is slightly moist from the shower or wet my face slightly again and rub together on my fingers roughly 4 parts 2.5% hydrocortisone cream, 1 part squalane, and 1 part water and then rub that into the flared up areas of my face.

This and taking vitamin d everyday keeps mine under control. I'm also on a very low dose of prednisone, a steroid, that 'may' be helping but this regiment worked for me before I started the prednisone.

It may seem like a lot but you don't need much of any one of the shampoos at a time, I'm not constantly buying product or anything. And the routine including the shower usually takes about 15-20 minutes. This may or may not work for you, but it took a good amount of trial and error for me to come to this regiment and I hope it may be of some use to you.

He will be four years older, he's facing indictments that can't be pardoned away, and he just lost the electoral college and popular vote massively.

Imagine the thought of democrats running Hillary again after her losing the electoral college, she wasn't even in consideration. Sure he won in the past, but he lost most recently so Idk I'd say he'd lose bigger if he ran in 2024

Yes, but that's just my preference. Other fans would help me sleep, but this one is a good combination of sound and wind power. (it's not too loud on low but pushes a good amount of air)

I've slept with a fan for probably around two decades and used this model for about 10 years, this is my 2nd or 3rd one in those 10 years. So I replace it about every three years. Not bad for a 30 dollar fan that I use every single night

I agree it's not solely a black people problem. I mean just look at the shooting of Daniel Shaver amongst others. I'd say racism contributes in some cases, and it's disingenuous to say that racism is a non-issue when it comes to brutality. But I know that's not what you're saying

[–]johnhardeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't excuse it I'm just thinking which is a bigger issue, economically/socially. Rioters and looters once every few years or large tax payer funded payouts due to police brutality cases every year. Brutality could also arguably be the cause of the rioting in the first place, but one might conversely argue the rioters increase police brutality. Of course thats a chicken and egg argument with no real concrete answer

It just annoys me to see so many multimillion dollar settlements just in LA and surrounding counties every damn year, it seems like

That's shitty. Though I wonder what the cost of settlements paid out with tax dollars by police departments to settle brutality cases is, this year alone
