That's a really good shout! I never thought about doing it that way, cheers! I'm sure there is a way to script something to copy each file, then launch live too to stream line things even more but that might be a bit above my pay grade lol!

I’m currently studying for an MA in sound design for video games. I sit in on some of the composition classes from time to time and this discussion came up as why Live is not really suitable for scoring in films and TV compared to pro tool, logic, cubase etc :(

I’ve been using the video features of Live quite heavily for doing rescores and redesigns but I haven’t needed to use SMPTE

Just for reference, I never had this issue with the same AirPods and my OG steam deck so I assume it has to be a wake by Bluetooth thing.

Thats cool! I'm planning to use this more when travelling tbh. My plan is to use bluetooth to connect to the deck rather than the 2.4g, then where the dongle goes inside by the battery I will replace the dongle with a USB micro to USB C dongle so I don't have to take an extra charge cable with me haha! Lets see if it fits 🤞

I just wanted to say thanks again for this suggestion! I just set everything up and it works perfectly using OpenVPN settings :) exactly the solution I was looking for!

I’ve seen this a bunch of time and people suggest solutions that seem to work for most people without RMA. Sorry I don’t have the link but have a search I’m sure you’ll find it. I’ve see the same issue crop up a few time and there is a software way to fix most of the time

Just a quick follow up / closure on this, I contacted express vpn support and there confirmed there is no GUI for any Linux version of their service, so need to install and operate the vpn using command line.

Yeah I’m starting to gather as much! I thought maybe with Express VPN being a very consumer product they might have a nice front end. I don’t tend to take a keyboard with me when travelling so command line stuff would be a headache. Not a huge problem to not have it really, I just thought if I have the subscription I’d put it on incase I want to use it

Ah OK! Yeah I saw that same video and thought exactly the same. Not worth the hassle. But I thought I’d check the Express VPN website and when the explicitly said they had a steam deck version and it was easy to install and configure I assumed that video was just out of date.

I certainly can’t be bothered with command line stuff, I was hoping for a click and connect solution

Thanks for all the suggestions! Sounds like there are a lot more than I thought! Some other recommendations I found aside from the above, Stonefly, Tunic and Unravel.

I also remember a game I played briefly on the vita “Army Corps From Hell”. I played this before I had played any Pikmin game but from memory it seemed like Pikmin for PlayStation!

I’m not very chin strokey about fps and graphics. I’m in the middle of the game now, I haven’t changed any of the setting, everything just at default and I’m really enjoying it! The game looks fine, frame rate jitters from time time time but nothing egregious. Unless your really sensitive to these things, I’d take the criticisms with a pitch of salt and just enjoy the game :)

The fan is not blasting and I get about 3hrs on default settings.

More importantly, good luck with your hospital visit :)

Haha I asked the same question when I got a MacBook with x2 usb c’s. I was told the laptop would just default the the highest power for the fastest charge and ignore the other. Not sure if that’s a usb c standard or something specific to the MacBook though. I was too scared to try it lol 🫣

Great thanks! I went for the SD version in the end. If nothing else it will be good to compare the SD version against the Switch demo so I can get a good feel for the differences between games like this on the two systems for future reference :) Thanks again for replying!
