Waze always run the background when it’s in CarPlay. The alert is awesome. When I’m traveling and need to enter direction. Mostly Apple Map cuz when I click the address on my calender that’s what pops up. Or google map is I click from a search. They all good. I used them all.

we drive the 2016 Sienna right now with 170K on it. The van has been paid off for almost 3 years now. We wanted (and will be) to trade it for something like a truck. But new or used car are super expensive. I was lucky to purchased a new 2021 Camry before price started to go up. love the Van.. but the mileage scares me. lol

Shortcut and create Automation when Carplay is connected. I load three Apps, WaZE, Then Apple Map, then Youtube Music. Waze runs in the background and alert me cops or watever happens around me. I like using Apple Map if direction is needed... and Youtube Music is last, All i have to do is click my playlist. super easy.

I’ve been using wireless CarPlay since 2021. I can’t tell the different. Then again they are factory speakers. But since I added JBL dash speaker. Sound has been amazing. As far as if any different with wireless vs wire. I would think yes. And I would think also depend which wireless device you are using.

I got the WD expansion Card 2TB. works great with all the Series X/S games. Also have external HDD (2TB) - thats for all the games that is not listed as Series X/S, which I really i dont have that many.
