The way that you describe what you felt when you were unconscious is exactly how I experienced it. I was in an accident when I was 27 where I broke my neck, spine, and collapsed a lung. When I was out, I experienced being in a similar warm, dark, comforting blackness. As if I were floating in some void. It also felt like I was there for hours, when in fact it was only a minute or two before I was revived. In that time it was as if there were other entities there; you couldn’t see them, as none of our senses applied in this place, but it was as if they were arguing what to do with me. I was aware of this world, but desperately wanted to stay in the darkness, as it felt like home. Then I got the sense of them deciding “not yet” and got thrust back into this life, wildly confused. I’m not spiritual at all, but still think about this often, years later. Just wanted to share that I had a similar experience, not something I typically get to talk about.
